bobby1212
If you could have only 2 books on this hobby what would they be? I am looking for suggestions on your 2 or 3 favorite books on fish compatability and habitat needs, coral habitat and compatability and just general all around great reef keeping books. I have The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert M Fenner and I just feel it is not as thorough as I was hoping. Maybe I am looking for something that is not even available but would like to hear from some of the experts. Thanks

Lowman
Marine Fishes by Scott W Michael is a good fish compatability book. And it is probably less expensive than most. As for a coral reference, there is non better than the Veron Books Corals of the World
reef165
Yes, Yes, yes! I too agree with all the above. I looked at the Marine Fishes by Scott W Michael so much that my daughter used to be able to tell me what fish were reef safe and compatable when we went to a LFS. stylaster
also the modern reef aquarium series and the reef aquarium series, very spendy, since their is 3-4 books in each series at 80.00 a pop but they cover pretty much everything.
