half-astronaut
I'm about to start building a wood tank and am looking for suggestions. I'm looking for 3/8 inch glass 24x58, 24x33,24x30, and 10x10. I'm in debate whether to go starphire or not as well. Is it worth the assumed increase in cost? darrellw
Just about any local glass shop should be able to supply that. Starphire in that thickness is a noticeable difference, at least side by side with plain glass, but will about double the cost of the glass. Kshack
Talk to Joel at Waves. He was making tanks (starfire) and I am sure he looked into where to get his glass. Ken

Rick
Keep in mind that if you use starphire that it only needs to be used for the viewing panels. If I was building one myself then there is no question that I would spend the extra for at least the front panel and perhaps the sides as well as long as I could find it locally. half-astronaut
yeah, I'm not going to use it for the bottom (which will be plywood). Its going to be a penninsula tank with a porthole on the forth side, hence the weird glass sizes.
