  1. Thanks Premium Aquarium! Garrett, thanks for the awesome meeting and we love the new corals. Those are some very unique HW PEs:)
  2. Yes you must be a known shipper. You should check out USPS for shipping overnight. Check their online site to see if you can get the fish from Texas to your home overnight. If you can it will be at least half the cost of Fedex and UPS.
  3. Hello, Thank you for the kind words. At this point in time I would like not to sell locally so we can support local shops and sponsors. I know several shops in Oregon and Washington who have these zoas and other corals I sell. If you want to know who has them please PM me.
  4. Check to make sure that it is not infected with boring fungus. To find out look along its shell for tiny pin holes, usually near the base. I cannot remember the treatment, maybe someone else will. A weak hinge does not always mean the clam is infected but most of the time they are. Also check to make sure your alkalinity is high enough, clams in a tank with chronic exposure to low alkalinity can also develop a weak hinge.
  5. Yeah, Jason has a lot of great rics. Some of the best around.
  6. My opinion would be that the rics in the photo above are touched up a bit. You can get nicely colored R. floridas but those are a little to intense.
  7. Hey Mike, Have you added carbon to your tank recently?
  8. JasonH, who designed the algae, I have never heard of this story. Do you have a link or copy of a research article proving this; I would love to see it. Last I heard the invasive algae species you are probably referring to was accidentally dumped into the Mediterranean via waste water affluent from a public aquarium. I have never heard of it being engineered by man. As far as global warming, I think you are missing the point. We as you, me, and others of the human race have raised the Earth's temperature faster then it would normally be when compared to ecological time. It is the ecological time scale that corals have adapted to not the short time scale us humans have begun raising the planets temperature. Also now days it is almost impossible to falsify data to acquire additional grant money. All publicly funded grant proposals are highly scrutinized and peer reviewed before any funding is issued. I am proud to say I believe in science without it most of us would not be alive today enjoying this wonderful hobby.
  9. IMO, the aqua c skimmers are some of the best skimmers on the market. You really can't go wrong with them. They run circles around any recirc skimmer and/or needle wheel skimmers. Get one, you won't be sorry.
  10. I wanted to thank Mike W. again for allowing me to come to his home and show everyone my propagated rics. Also I would like to thank everyone who bought rics. The purchase money is greatly appreciated as it goes back into paying for operating expenses so I can keep offering propagated rics. I would also like to thank PNWMAS. I also will forward a check to PNWMAS containing 5 dollars for every ric sold. Finally it was nice to meet everyone who attended the meeting; it was very nice meeting other hobbyists with as much or more devotion to the hobby as I have. thanks again Chris
  11. The ric prices are going to be 20 per polyp for pinks, oranges, and multicolored and 15 for all others. Mike and I are also going to donate 5 dollars to the club for every ric sold. I have gotten many requests to hold rics for members but unfortunately I won't be able to as I would like to give everyone attending the meeting a nice selection of rics to choose from.
  12. As Mike mentioned here is a link to some of the propagated rics I have ready for sale. There are 5 pages of pics. These are all adapted to 250w 20k halides. They have been adapted over from sunlight at about 14 inches of water depth and 24 inches from the metal halide fixtures. Thanks for looking, see everyone at the meeting. http://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa243/teena546/?start=0 Chris
