  1. 1x1 inch to 3x5 inch 2022, oh how far we've come. Survived tank crash, vibrant overdose, 16 hour move, and ammonia burns. Jania macroalgae. Sourced in 🇲🇽 a few years ago when they first started keeping reef tanks.
  2. I appreciate it but already managed to snag quite a bit.
  3. Looking for anyone with a current tank that has a functioning deep sand bed. Pictures would be nice as well. Haven't had much luck locally in Portland as everyone keeps their tanks too sterile. I need to seed my deep sand bed for an upcoming project as it will be close to 6+ inches thick. Using fine grain sand, special grade, and garden soil. Already have anoxic layers forming but would like to have a larger fauna population. Best bet would be to get a cup or two of sand from someone with an already established set up. Species specific build otherwise I wouldn't use such a large bed. Hope some members out there would like to show off their tanks! The grittier the better
  4. Decided to trim my Coelarthum (String of Pearls) this week for nutrient export. Easy grower and really nice to look at under whites or blues. Develops a holdfast. (picture with my hand in it is the string of pearls which I am selling. It is located in the other two pictures between the portieria and halymenia. Please do not ask me for the portieria. I will politely decline your offer.) Low - Medium flow Medium light I can make 6+ inch portions. Asking $15 a portion. Located 97225
  5. I usually do 16oz flasks as my portion size but can scale to what you're looking for. Open to trades as well. I cut phyto every 5 days so I have more of that on hand. Copepods are kept as master cultures in which I usually only cut for maintenance or (fingers crossed) the population in my sump crashes. Rotifers are cut every 1-2 days for feeding purposes. Looking to sell blend rather than individual strains at this time. It keeps me sane. Phyto - Nanno, Tetra, Thal, Iso Copepod - Apocyclops, Tisbe, tigri Rotifers - L type $10 per 16oz. Bulk we can do $7.50 Located 97225 (next to Western Pet Supply)
  6. Just doing some nutrient export. This week it is some red grape macroalgae, aka, botryocladia occidentalis. I keep mine in two tanks at 7000k and 16000k at high intensity. Low - Medium Light (Can be acclimated to higher light with caution) Low - High flow (as long as it is secure) Allow absolutely no detritus to settle! *First picture is of the cluster I harvested, about 6 inches long. I can make 3 - 4 portions of a branch each with some clusters as shown in the second picture. $15 a portion. Located in 97225 (right next to Western Pet Supply)
  7. Yeah. I get an explosion of them when I get lax on my maintenance routine which I see as a good thing. Free food for my NPS. They eat detritus and film algae. Kinda like copepods but bigger.
  8. I'd love to get out for the meeting but unfortunately have work that day. Fingers crossed for the next one.
  9. So I relocated from California to Portland, Oregon and took my saltwater collection with me. Unfortunately not everything survived the trip and initial cycling of the tanks. Mainly my girlfriend's monti collection she had been working on. Oops. I have some macroalgae to trade if anyone can help me with my list. $ can be added to sweeten the pot. Looking for: Montipora - Cherry Tree / Juicy Fruit / Crazy T / Alter Ego / Peyote Dream / Nauti Spiral / Vino / Grafted Macroalgae Available: Shaving Brush, Pine Cone, Mermaid Fan, Halimeda optunia, Cymopolia barbata, Bryothamnion, Botryocladia, Halymenia durvillei, Hypnea pannosa, Graciliara (tikvahiae, parvispora, cervicornis), Red Lace, Euchema, Dictoya friabilis, Red mangroves, Galaxuara.
