Hey community. 

I'm battling some dino's at the moment in my new setup.  never had a problem with other tanks but this time I went with dry rock instead of using life rock from a previous tank and I think that has lead to the uglies.  

The tank is about 60 gallons in total volume.  If anyone has a UV sterilizer lying around I would really appreciate being able to borrow it for a couple weeks maybe even less.  The problem isn't completely out of hand and I know the sterilizer will work wonders.  These are the types that enter into the water column at night and grow on the rocks through the day.  

Emphasis on borrow but please let me know what your price is as well.

Glad the pain went away!  At least you know you're not severely allergic to them. 

I've heard vinegar can neutralize stings but I'm no doctor.  Just what I've heard.  Hope it clears up soon for you

Anyone know what this might be? It's never moved and started off about half its size w/ a white color. Its been there sinch i got the live rock about 8 months ago. I thought it was a dead piece of coral when i got it because it looked like a bleached skeleton. I think it's some sort of clam. It has what looks to be a funnel tube. It's about the size of a kidney bean. Maybe slightly smaller.

Awesome. I lived on Oahu for 6 years before making it to portland. It's actually a mushroom cage that I got off easy for like 10 bucks.  So far works great. Here's something like it. The one I got is no linger available.
