  1. Looking to rehome a Tomini tang. I made the mistake of adding him to the tank too early and he is not allowing new additions to the tank because he’s so territorial. $50 or trade for a fish of like value, specifically looking for a Klein's butterfly or copperbanded (would be happy to add cash for a copperbanded). Located in SE Portland by Ladd’s addition. Thanks!
  2. Looking to rehome a tomini tang. I made the mistake of adding him to the tank too early and he is not allowing new additions to the tank because he’s so territorial. Looking to outright sell or trade, would be happy to add $ for a healthy copperbanded or trade for a Kleins butterfly. Located in SE Portland by Ladd’s addition. Thanks! 50 OBO!
  3. Think that’s covered in the “3 or more”= 30%
  4. I love this! May have to swing by later, I got a golden sleeper goby here the other day and he’s doing great ☺️
  5. Fish list is as follows, clown fish, MALE blue star leopard wrasse, Tomini tang, a few mythos crabs, fairly large hermit cleanup crew, and around 3-6 emerald crabs. This is the setup that came from the tanks for teachers auction that happened during the pandemic for those that may recall. The following gear is included, protein skimmer/return pump/ 9month old heater/ and an ATO (is mounted in a 5 gallon bucket with plumping),mag float, roughly 100 pounds of liverock that is all custom aqua scaped with macro-e40 cement. Also comes with a Gyre, and another wave maker (hydor). The tank has a good bit of green hair algae due to some neglect but is still healthy. Will include excess carbon, filters, and other excess filtration gear. Glass is in incredible condition, always cared for with microfiber towels as well as proper inside cleaning to not harm sealing integrity. Tank is located in Inner SE (Near Clinton street theater). No plans on parting it out just yet but will update if I change my mind, thanks for looking!
  6. Re-homing my Japanese red pistol shrimp, not positive what a fair price is but lets say $35 obo. He is a bit of a clean-up crew killer in my experience, just a heads up. Located in SE Portland.
  7. Hey all, was wondering if anyone had been out to saltwater obsessions recently. I was planning on making the trek this weekend but cant seem to find any of their info online, have they closed recently does anyone know (Phone line appears to be disconnected)? Thanks in advance and happy reefing!
  8. Ill buy the Zoas, I'm in SE portland and can get them this weekend.
  9. It is around 4-5inches, I do feel he may be able to survive it just may not be ideal. I am going to set up my medicated tank this weekend and see what we can do, hopefully I will find somewhere I can pay to store the fish or just my Coral to potentially go the the Kliens butterfly route.
  10. I do like this option and was actually had read your entire post a few months back where you had documented getting rid of your large invasion with the peppermints. I am in a similar boat as your infestation. My issue is that the two fish I am not willing to part with (Yellow clown goby and a male bluestar leopard wrasse), of the two I can only safely keep the clown goby. If I can find a way to house the wrasse this is an option for me, I just need to figure out a way to get him in atleast a 30-40 gallon with a little sand. I'm roughly $800 into this aptasia battle between coral die off, money spent on products, filefish, and a unhealthy copperbanded who refused food. I just need to find either a new shop that's willing to hold a customers fish or someone I can pay to house the fish in a spare tank. I could even just go the nudibranch route if I am able to find a temporary home for the wrasse.
  11. So I would like to do this however I am unable to find anywhere to store my fish. No stores I have talked to are willing to hold them now-adays due to issues with holding past customers coral/fish apparently. I have a medication tank, however cannot store the tang, wrasse who requires sand, and others in it safely due to its size (20gallon).
  12. price drop, 3000 for tank running, has a massive aptasia problem. Breaks my heart to sell the tank but I am unable to find any fish/ cleanup crew able to eat aptasia despite searching for almost a year.
  13. I will update some photos later this week once I have cleaned the tanks glass. To address the PM's I've been getting I am not planning on parting any corals or the fish out, my goal is to sell the tank as a whole unit other-words I'm just going to keep fighting the good fight against the Aptasia.
  14. Testing the waters on if there is any interest in a currently set up reefer 350. Tank is in inner SE Portland and It comes with about 3-5 heads of green torches (trying to nurse back to health, had an aptasia filefish eat some of them), about 12 heads of purple/green frammer , about 8 heads of green/purple frammer, a fox coral roughly 6 inches long and four inches wide, red ora goni’s, small drac Zoa colony, and a few small mushroom of different colors. Fish list is as follows, clown fish, MALE blue star leopard wrasse, Tomini tang, large pink spot goby with a large Japanese pistol shrimp, orange clownfish. This is the setup that came from the tanks for teachers auction and includes 2 ai hydras, sump with protein skimmer/return pump/ two heaters/ and an ATO (is mounted in a 5 gallon bucket with plumping), roughly 100 pounds of liverock that is all custom aqua scaped with macro-e40 cement. Also comes with a Gyre, and another wave maker (hydor), gyre alone is able to keep flow in a much larger setup. The downside of the tank is I am fighting a massive aptasia outbreak and have been unable to eliminate them despite my best efforts. I am hoping to get $4500 for the tank with everything included, however am open to offers as well. I’m also happy to help with loading, unloading (within Portland) and tank setup. thanks for your time.
  15. half-astronaut is totally right, using a dehumidifier can lead to a few pollutants getting into the tank, there's some discussion on this in the reef2reef forum. I would not put dehumidifier water in the tank, just use it to water house plants or things outside and get the good stuff for the fishies!
  16. bump price drop to 50, really need him gone so I can get a copperbanded butterfly to take care of my aptasia!! Located in SE portland
  17. Looking to Rehome my medium sized Tomini Tang(Flame fin). He is being a bit aggressive in my reefer 350 so I believe he would benefit from some more swimming room. Very healthy, had him for awhile now (almost 9 months) and has showed so signs of any illness. Looking to get $70 oBo for him, also open to coral trades or a trade for an established copperbanded butterfly and I will add cash .
  18. I just lost my welsos so I will be fragging some of my euphellyia to try and get more. Side note dont ever use aptasia x! I sell my heads for 10-15 depending on color (frammer/hammer, one colony is green and the other is green base/purple tip), torches will be $50 a head down the road when they are ready for fragging.
  19. Still looking for peppermint shrimp or a copperbanded butterfly if anyone has one they would be willing to rehome! Aptasia are taking over the tank sadly and stinging the heck out of corals so if anyone has a lead on either from a local source it would be greatly appreciated! I will also offer a ten dollar finders fee if anyone knows of a copperbanded being rehomed from an established reef in portland area or within a 30 minute drive!
  20. I would definitely take the clown! I have a "dracula zoa" from the frag event you could have for them (it is quite small only about 4 heads). I would be happy to give you a frag of one of my hammers too if you like. I'm in SE portland
  21. I wish I could go the nudibranch route, I have amphipods in my tank that will just eat all of their eggs so It looks like I need to go the peppermint shrimp route. It is the darndest thing, I have called around to every saltwater fish store in the area and they are all sold out(have been looking for around two weeks now). There is one that is about an hour and a half away that has small ones for $12 and another spot 30 minutes away charging $36 a piece (highway robbery in my opinion). It looks like I will have to have to get creative until some more come around!
  22. I always hear mixed reviews about those filefish, I am glad I didnt get one! I also tried the molly miller blenny to see if it would eat aptasia and had no luck with mine, from what I read online their kinda like the filefish. Some will eat aptasia, others just aren't interested.
  23. Hey all, Looking to buy some Peppermint shrimp in the Portland area if anyone has some for sale. Need to clean up some Aptasia that keep coming back despite using joes juice weekly. Thanks!
  24. That violet tip is too cool!
  25. Hey all, I have some leftover sand from when I set my tank up in January. It’s two bags of the Carib Sea Fiji pink sand (but really looks white). Got them for $15 a piece, would take $20 for both. I can bring to the meet up on Sunday if anyone wants them!
