I have 4 in a 20 gal. The only time they move is if I change power heads and they point on them too much. They definitely add color and uniqueness to a nano. I had a peppermint shrimp in my 90 gal with one. The shrimp ate him within hours. Be aware of that

Good deal. How fast do they grow? I have orange ones now that finally attached to a rock but not spreading much.

Looking for a nice frag of these.

Soo question.. members like me with trying to stock up a large tank..I have no frags. Will there be the possibility of purchasing frags at these meetings?

It says it's in stock at Marine Depot, so I'm going to order more now!

This is the first time I've seen it listed in quite a while. Bulk Reef Supply says it's been discontinued.
I like this stuff. I may order it. Looks like what I need

IME the only problem with superglue is that it doesnt stick to the rocks well because of the biofilm covering the rocks. I find that rubbing it directly on the rock with your finger fixes this. Apply superglue to rock, apply superglue to frag, push them together and rub & twist until it starts to set.
Epoxy can be so bulky and ugly, but a well done superglued frag can have more or less no visible glue.
How do u put the glue to rock? Take it out? I've tried long ago to use the glue under water and it solidified in the tubes nozzle. Didn't work and had to throw the whole tune away

What kind of epoxy is safe?

What does everyone use to.stick frags besides super glue? No matter how much glue I use, my snails still manage to knock them off

Well the heck with you tube. If you can’t get it to work or FB live. We could always have Suncrestreef do the raffle as he is not entered and could just post without video.
Or just screen record and post that

Sorry for the big let down. I'll have to revisit. I wanted to do live so everything is honest and transparent. No idea that YouTube changed their policy. I'm give you guys an update later. That's all for tonight. Super sorry and sorry disappointed.
No worries. Can't be easy putting all this together. Get some rest

I have an SCA skimmer as well. I did not notice that when I changed from a glass to an acrylic sump. However, I also traded displays at the same time. Make sure the pump is seated in the skimmer well, I have had issues when it doesnt click in all the way. Are you able to calm the bubbles down with the blue adjustment tube?
Nothing with adjustment tube. It use to run all the way off. Now nothing works lol

No.. sadly I got pretty excited and it was late when I swapped so I just ran it as it was :(. Looking back now, I see it was not wise. I did remember to level it.
-
So I upgraded my glass sump to a new acrylic one. When I turned everything on, my skimmer went crazy pushing bubbles out. I've ran this skimmer for a year it's an sc aquarium brand. The water level is same or a tiny bit lower that the previous sump. If I raise the skimmer nothing changes and it spews bubbles like mad still. Is this normal when switching from glass to acrylic? Nothing I do seems to slow it down

I suppose I can look for a doser. I'm probably going to need to go that direction eventually. I was just trying to avoid having to research another piece of equipment . Lol.

K thanks. I'll look into it

I would use kalk. That way you replace alk and calcium in a balanced way
Can this just be added to my top off? Guess I'm confused whether I need a doser for the two part or just add mix to a topoff
-
If I know my tank uses up between 1-1.5ppm alkalinity. Can I just calculate the amount of ash needed to bring it up and add that to my 5 gal top off ? Or is it best to buy a doser?

.5 nitrates! Dayum dude.
So I meant 5 nitrates lol. I have a clean up crew but they ignore it once it's too long. Some knock over my coral..I know...1st world problems....but I had a sand sifting gobie. He jumped out first night. Was lucky enough to land in overflow and ended up in sump. He is now in a different tank lol

All that being said, I'd definitely be down for a frag pack. We resisted coral buying for all of 2020. Our tank looks naked!
Lol. This is something I just could not do
Anyone ID these zoas?
