Swampy

There is a white spot on one of my green chromis. I have pulled it from my dt. It is in about 3/4 gal bucket for now. It is the left fish in the top image.

I am looking to see if anyone has some spare chaeto near Hillsboro. I would like to try to create a fuge in my sump. Thank you.

Thank you all for the advice. Taylor I may hit you up on that offer. I may have a business trip next to the Far East. The wife and I rearranged the rocks today and made a couple more additions of color. I am still deciding on the lower profile look of them. The chromis seem to like it better like this.

I love eating them too even had some soft shell crab for lunch today. I am a bit concerned about them in the tank. And after a visit to MrBret today I added a zoa and nem. If the crabs go after either I may find a new home for them or see if they are tasty.

Now that my tank is cycled and a bit more interesting to look at I placed a couple of emerald crabs in it and when they come out of hiding they are fun to watch eat the poor unsuspecting algae in the tank.

After realizing my filter bag was clogged in the sump. Doh! My little tank is looking better. So day 3.5 with the tank and I have some nice growth of brown algae. Looking forward to the ammonia to go down so I can get some cleaners in there.

It's been pumping for 3 days. All cloudyness was gone Saturday morning. Everything looks good. I did move the live rock to rearrange it with the tank clear during they process. I think this is something normal but the sudden change seems a bit strange at least to me. this is the tank for early in the morning. I need to work on taking pictures, they all end up very blue.

Hi all I am new here and have a new tank that is cycling. Today I noticed some buildup of white material on the live rock. The tank is a new Red Sea 170 reefer. Thank you for any suggestions.
