  1. Hi Lovesalt, I hear you on the maintenance issues. But as I am not even running a tank right now, I miss even the less fun stuff. I have some time on my hands and would be willing to help if you're up for it. I'm thinking about starting up a little tank sitting/maintenance service as I research and plan my next build. Seeing other people's systems is fascinating to me, and I like to be helpful. Let me know if there's anything I can do. Best, Nick
  2. Yeah, I saw that Candy Basslet on a list of most expensive fish. Those deep ones get pricey! I really like the Possum Wrasse suggestion. Several varieties. Beautiful fish. Another possibility is the Tailspot Blenny. Entertaining and helps with algae control. https://www.saltwaterfish.com/product-tailspot-blenny
  3. Interesting thread, beautiful tank. Thanks for the shares!
  4. Looking forward to an update and pics. Sounds like a fun project. That Swales Swissguard Basslet mentioned above looks awesome. I looked online and saw that there are actually two species, a Swales (or Swalesi) and a Swissguard, the latter being quite expensive. https://www.bluezooaquatics.com/productlist.asp?cid=11&did=1
  5. Hi all, Now that I got that membership payment issue worked out, I thought I'd re-introduce myself. I'm from Portland and currently live in Tigard. I'm selling my house in SW PDX, so no tank at the moment. I've previously run FOWLR and brackish tanks, freshwater as a kid. My next one will be reef. Depending on space, I hope my next tank will be at least 125-180g. I'm planning to research and learn as much as possible over the next several months, keeping an eye out for used equipment that will help with the build, and meeting people in the community. I hope to make it to the next club meeting/store tour and will say hi to some of you there. Thanks for being so welcoming! Best, Nick
  6. Ok, sounds good Sean. (Saw your name in another reply.) I'm happy to help if the need arises. Best, Nick
  7. I can help with that. Since I'm new here and we haven't met, please PM me to discuss.
  8. I got it to work! For some reason, when I unchecked the box for auto renewal, it took me right to the PayPal payment form. Well, it's done. Thanks, Flashy, for asking for help on my behalf. Best, Nick
  9. Hi all, I was here a few years ago (I think I used "sixty-five") and now I'm back, starting fresh. I tried to pay for a membership but there was no place to add credit card info. I entered billing info name and address, but the only option after that was "confirm and pay." Clicking that did not take me to a payment form but said there was a processing error. Thought the admins should know, or maybe it's just me? I'll keep trying. Thanks, Nick
