  1. When my old tank cracked I threw what survived it in my sump. I then re-routed the water supply line that went to my tank to the 1st stage of my sump and it kept running. When I set up my new Red Sea tank I just routed the supply back to my new tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Set up this new Red Sea Reefer 750XXL on Jan 1, 2018. My last tank sprung a leak[emoji15]. I LOVE this tank! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Very beautiful stand. I love well made stands with hardwoods.
  4. Thanks Nate. I'm leaning that way. My system will evaporate 15 gallons a day and I want a vented canopy. Euro-braced is stronger and less messy when cleaning. Tank can be taller with same thickness glass than Rimless.
  5. No roller filter yet. My piece-of-crap DD Marineland Tank started leaking. Getting a Reef Savvy Tank made. 96x36x24-27. The detritus tank does not catch as much stuff as I thought it would. I think I need some baffles in it to slow water flow.
  6. Rimmless or Euro-Braced Having a new tank made. Cant decide between: 1. Rimless & 2. Euro-braced Never had a big tank Rimless. 1. Does water slosh over top when cleaning glass with magnet? 2. Do the lights glare in your eyes? 3. How do you vent all the evaporation? Getting a 96"X36"X 24"to 27". So who likes rimless Who likes eurobraced And why? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks Shark. I had a 300 gallon 24x96x30 Plex tank made by US Aquarium blow a seam AS I WAS LOOKING at it 15 or so years ago on Christmas morning. Emptied on the floor in about a 1/2 hr but I got most livestock out alive. Hopefully 3rd times the charm.
  8. Yes. They said they would write me a check for what I paid for it. I'm pretty sure I will have Reef Savey build me a tank. They are expensive but I'm confident the workmanship will be excellent. Small shop with pride in their work. Never heard of any of there tanks ever leaking. Have any of you? The owner said he gets calls almost weekly about Marineland Deep Dimension Tanks leaking and breaking. The Marineland DD design is flawed IMO due to the entire bottom plate being supported by the perimeter frame only.
  9. Thanks for the support. I'll just have to up-grade!
  10. 5 Months after setting up my 250 Gallon Marineland deep-dimension tank and its leaking from the bottom seal in the middle of the front of the tank. My friend has a 200 Gallon deep-dimension tank and its also leaking on the too left side. Tore it down and moved live-stock to a spare tank in my down stairs Mechanical Room. 11. Yea, did some research. It was spawning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What the......I walked by my tank and the water was all cloudy. Ran down to my sump room and all the water was crystal clear. Went back upstairs and the fish were eating a milky white substance that was oozing out of the mouth of my Carpet Anemone. The carpet looks very healthy. Does anyone know what is going on???? 13. I couldn't be more happy with the way this little micro-water-treatment plant works. Unbelievable water quality and very low maintenance. STAGE: 1 STAGE: 2 STAGE: 3 STAGE: 4 STAGE: 5 STAGE: 0 (Oops RODI should of gone 1st) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. My Tuxedo Urchin stole a clump of Polyps. Guess it thinks they are stylish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. No substrate. I tie them with streatchy plant tie and just let the tips of roots touch the water so I can train the root system to be tall and thick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks Shark re roller filter. I'm getting the real one from Europe. No motor etc.
  17. Giesemann: 1 Atinic T5, 1 Pure Atinic T5 over Refugium. 2 Home Depot 6500K T5's over Mangros
  18. Mangro's are mostly double branched now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Macro in my refugium is growing very fast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thats very kind if you to say Thomas. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Simple geometry. From the top break it down into squares, rectangles and triangles in inches. Height X Width X Length divided by 231 = gallons. Add up the different pieces you divided it into. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks Jorge n BlueZReef, My mushrooms have always done poorly. Thought it was from too much light. But I lowered my MH's to 2 double ended 250W 14,500K bulbs and 4 T-5s. Is my light also too bright. My Zoes do good though. I do a 100 gallon water change every 30 days. Don't add any aminos or anything else.
  23. I do! I dig my Mangroves!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
