So i added a few rock new to the tank today  the pictures dont really do them justice under the lights these things glow in the dark the colors are nice.

Welcome to the new home . They are mostly closed up and there is a bright pink one was hiding so i didnt get a pic of that.. Later on ill i will try to get some more pics.

I use these to keep test tubes contained.The first one is a lipstick holder and the second item is a ice cube tray.

 

 

 

 

And a sewing thread spool holder to help air dry small parts.

I like the ice cube holder I need something like that great ideas :)

Magic erasers work extremely well, haven't had one come apart on me yet but I toss them fairly quickly because they are so cheap, I'll never use a mag float on acrylic again so the magic erasers come in very handy!

How much do you pay on them things? Ya I agree many people use them that's the only problem if they fall apart and don't blame you I would use a mag on that either

I have never used a magic eraser but not sure i would that is one of them that scare me they could fall apart in the water other than that people do use them.

I think there is a warning or used to be not for aqurium use because of that reason.  But for 2 more bucks or something for that you can get a magnic cleaner.

we should have one some where where we can all just pass around The bread filefish feeding on them well thats there job     They usually do good with removing that stuff anyhow but the tank raised ones just wipe them out faster

I love them my daughter loves them.  But this time around I chose to stay away from them but there is nothing wrong with them at all there so full of life and boy do they expand quickly.

So if you dont know measurements and how to measure using a syrenge when you measure this Video will teach you better than any teacher can teach you i promise this.

Some people really need to make sure your using the right numbers when you dose or whatever.

I keep mine tucked in the corner but a piece still managed to jump to a small close by rock.

 

Rock is about the size of a baseball xenias are bout the size of a golf ball.

 

I don't want them anywhere other then where I have them and would hate to flush anything living....

They are going to do that wake up one morning they will be half way across the tank the seeds in them things float around.  They can over run your tank if not on top of it. But pretty easy to watch them expand when they pop up.  Great to have in the tank when you start out I choose not to have they for the reason they expand way to much..

Good luck with parting out with them maybe someone is starting out with a tank.

I just setup my overflow (DIY HOB system) and the thought of it getting clogged and overflowing has me not sleeping well lol. I live in a apartment on the second story above our maintenance guy.

Ya theres no way to pick any lol there all good places.  I like Upscales and Travis. I email him like every day and he always replies great support. Even on his day off  Im sure others do to and im huge on service.

Doesnt matter how busy he is in the shop when i go in there he always say's hello

Well bulk reef sells the jug and the dispenser so i went ahead and put my order in with them and added that on to the list to.

Well i got a email from them i went ahead and put in a order they got me in on the group buy i still didnnt get my 10% back on every product and i dont see any 10x reward points so i emailed them on that to hopefully they will get that figured out ill bump it to 2 stars and see what happens and hopefully i get a credit and points.

This would be nice if they sold the dang jug with it

Here was my thought process:

 

Chemical pump dispenser -> Liquid Dispenser -> Pump Dispenser local (search) -> Bed Bath and Beyond.

I don't know if they all would measure, but I think moving in the direction of soap or lotion dispensers isn't a bad idea. If you are willing to not do local, amazon is always a good option.

Thanks those are links I looked at to you can only buy the dispensers but trying to find the jugs to fit them then you pay 20 bucks to have 1 shipped lol I know there has to be some place that sells just the jug and dispenser together

I dont know why it seems so hard to find this out there without paying 20 bucks for shipping to.

I just need 1 gallon jug with a pump dispensor on it . The 1 oz pump so each pump is measured as 1 oz for easy measuring.  I know someone was going to just give me one but i need soon and cant drive a hour to get 1 jug..

If you know of any place please let me know.

Ok as someone mentioned yesterday in my other thread . The toothbrush idea for cleaning using things other than buying reef stuff can save you. It's not being cheap just ideas of what can be used.  So my sump i have 4 hoses running over each other i went got this big  3MM and put it to the side of the glass now all 4 hoses fit nice in there allowing me to keep it simple and able to work in there.  Not to mention the auto top off hose will not pop out now either

PS There is some good ideas i see a couple of you posted i would love to hear more.

What i need is a pump that when i pump it one pump will put out 1 oz I need this in a gallon jug where can i get this. I know bulk reef supply has them thats what im looking for.  Someone offered me one up but he and i are not close and i would like to buy on somewhere. 

Love the pickers, I use a bunch of cheap ones.  Harbor freight I think sells a junkier one for a couple of bucks on sale but I use it sometimes.

Yes they rust out, but they are a few bucks, not a big deal.  I heard you can put them in a bucket of freshwater after using, never tried it.

 

Risk to your tank?  I don't think so, if you have seen Frank's tank you likely would agree.

 

I keep funnels, measuring spoons/cups, etc specifically for the reef in the reef supplies.  Also very handy!
