I think finding what they like can be a nice opportunity to find a new relationship over the tank. Most people can't follow a whole tank. 

Maybe she likes fish over coral. She does study fish behavior.

It does look like a bubble tip.

I'd accept the fact that they don't always host or pull it out from the corner. 

Are they hosting in something else?
