  2. Thanks for the lights! It was nice meeting you and to now be able to put a face to a name! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a minuet to clear the air/apologize for one of my zoas. A few months back I bought some juggernaut zoas from a vendor in California and but over the last few weeks, a few people have expressed that they have doubts as to the legitimacy of the juggernaut zoas. So after taking their advise I've been doing some digging over the last few days and I am also now doubting their legitimacy. On the belief that they were truly jugs I purchased them as a mini colony from the vendor. When I got them home, I fragged them up to sell a few to try and make some money back after spending a bunch of cash to get a mini colony. Salty Pickle was the only person to buy one, and we are currently working that out through PM. When I first got the zoas they did have the correct color patterns and designs but over the last few weeks/ months the zoas have developed a different color pattern than what a true jug has. So that has made me second guess weather the vender sold me the right zoa or not. Then about a week ago I saw rainbow Sakura zoas on a Facebook auction and thought they looked similar to what I had. So the doubt grew even more. Yesterday I was at Jeffs shop buying some used LEDs when I saw a zoa that looked very similar to my "juggernaut zoa" and asked him what they were and he said Rainbow sakuras. That was the nail in the coffin for me. But I'm still lost to their true name because the patterns don't seem to match either jugs or rainbow sakuras With that being said, I will no longer be selling those zoas as jugs but rather as just a sweet unknown. What I ordered from the vendor was juggernaut zoas and I truly believed that they were jugs, and that they had morphed in my system. I can no longer say with confidence that they are jugs so I will not be selling them as such. With that being said, I just wanted to apologize to everyone. My goal has never been to rip people off or to sell people the wrong zoa. My goal has always been to be as transparent and honest as possible. I would never sell an Unknow zoa as a "named one" if I knew it was wrong. We are all in this hobby because we love it and we all joined this club to form a tight group of honest reefers. Again I'm sorry for the confusion I may have caused anyone. I posted this because I didn't want people to think I was trying to hide it or anything. I'm a person that will own up to my mistakes when I make them and that's what I'm doing. Thanks for taking a minuet to read this Happy Reefing, Cody Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Maybe I miss understood that... Are you looking for advice or grain size of sand or where to get sand from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It depends on what type of coral you want to keep. SPS require a lot of flow and as a result your sand could blow all over if it's to fine. Do you have an idea of the type of coral you want to keep? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Welcome:) lots of knowledgable people here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. 75 would make a nice frag tank! Or a huge refugium with all kinds of critters in it:) if that's a possibility. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    NEMS!

splitting is a sign that your nem is stressed out. When they split it is out of self preservation. They split so that hopefully one half will find a better area and live. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. That would work out perfect! Let's plan on meeting there. So if you could bring my stuff with you I would greatly appreciate it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Oh what time are you going to be at cuttlefish? I'll be up that way on Thursday. Was going to hit that shop up before I drove down your way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. i haven't posted prices or anything yet because the colonies are not ready to be sold yet. Still need about a month before they are good to go. The reason I posted this was so that I could figure out what I wanted to do when I go to sell them. To see if people wanted colonies or frags. This wasn't meant to be a sale thread by any means, just wanted to have a general discussion That's what I've told the people whom I have PMed. Told them that the colonies weren't ready yet, still coloring up after a stressful dip a month ago but that I would remember them when I go to sell the stuff at a later date. 12. I agree with higher thinking, you'll be fine with no water change. In my opinion they are really good for a system but not needed every 2 weeks or every month on the dot. I don't remember the last time I did a water change and my stuff looks great! Granted I was try to starve out some algae and it worked so I'll probably do a good water change soon. But back to my point, your tank will be just fine waiting. I'm also on a well and would never use the water because my TDS meter reads 170 ppm on the incoming water...... RO/DI water should be 0. 13. In my opinion, I think you would be ok to wait until you move. I've run my system for a week with no skimmer and didn't notice any ill effects other than some algae popped up. Plenty of people run successful reef tanks without skimmers. For a short period of time, I assume you would be ok. Otherwise what about placing the skimmer in the tank? Like build a little shelf for it out of egg crate or rock? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. good point, pricing a colony is really hard. Much easier to price frags hahaYeah, I wonder where lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'll have to ask my father. I know he got it off of eBay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. We picked up the 6watt one. Go big or go home haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. As for pricing I will pm you Robert. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The colony behind the left red blotch has sadly passed away.... Bleach out of me for no reason and never recovered. The second blotch is this guy but I plan to keep him and frag it every now and again. It's a super bright coral! Here are a few pics under different lighting conditions. last picture is under just whites. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Well I do love a good mystery! Looks like I'll be doing some reasearch instead of studying for finals lol! Put me down for both LEDs and the free broken skimmer. Would picking them up Thursday evening work for you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks! Those red ones are my favorite too!! Blackice ill pm you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Here is a picture from a few weeks ago. Sorry the quality isn't the best haha. Recently moved the superman(top right) to higher light so it's a lighter more pink color right now. They originally come from Beer503 For size reference, the frag plugs are 1.25 inches I believe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Depending on location, put me down for the reef star. Also what spectrum and how strong is the par 56 lamp? I'm interested but don't know much about them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thank you all got the replies so far! Keep them coming I'll probably end up listing the colonies first and if they don't sell/trade, then I'll frag them out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Would you guys rather buy colonies or large "frags"?? I am considering selling a couple of my SPS colonies soon to fund some new equipment and to fuel the zoa addiction lol. I'm thinking of selling my RMF Superman stag and my lavender mint sarmentosa colonies. Just seeing what you guys would prefer before I make any decisions:) Thanks in advance for the feedback! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Awesome!! Thanks Robert! Maybe we can meet up over my winter break since I'm not too far from you haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
