  1. I have the middle one. I have a 120 gallon total water volume frag tank that I keep it on and it's plenty. The difference with Gold is that you get the Ph probe, Temp prob, and the stuff for monitoring Salinity and ORP. The middle one just comes with ph and Temp. The apex jr comes with the salinity and pH but only has four plug ins(the other two have 8).

Those are the only real differences. The rest of the stuff is all standard and you'll get it with any of the apex set ups. It's fancy words for the basic stuff to run an apex. :) you can run DOS on any of them. hope that helps.

  2. And i'm still waiting for photo bucket, lol. Thanks for uploading them. Sending pm.

no problem, I got them from him and just used the app to upload them. Much easier lol. If you buy this from him, will it be going in your shop tank or a home tank??

  3. I would love to get in on this grows out :) I'm already doing the acro grow out, so if they conflict then that's ok:) otherwise I had a Goni back when I started and I might have killed it..... Would love to try another one. I love how purple this guy is too!

Thank you for putting another grow out together Bert! I can help deliver frags to Salem again, and possibly Portland depending on the day :)

  4. The apex has saved me from freezing my tank! I keep my frag tanks in a "fish shed" and when I do water changes I unplug the heaters to make sure they don't overheat when the water level drops. Well...this last Sunday when I did that, I forgot to plug back in the heater. 4 texts later from my Apex telling me the temperature was slowly falling, and I went outside to find that I forgot to plug them in.

That is a really small thing, but it was about 40 degrees outside and even though the shed has insulation it still dropped about a degree and a half before I noticed. The tank could have froze if the apex hadn't warned me. It's also let me know when a heater had failed...in the off position. Basically the same thing happens but the heaters were plugged in and said they were on(yellow light) but they were not producing heat.

I'm also at college so I see my tank about once a week or every two weeks so the apex is a must for me. Otherwise, I ran my system for months just manually doing everything. The apex just simplified stuff and gave me a huge amount of peace while I'm gone. :) anyways there are a couple times the apex saved my bacon in just the last 6 months.
