  1. I have a 40B that is drilled and has a skimming box. A 20 long with baffles. Would like to sell as a set. $75 for the set.

Please let me know if this is realistic or not, figured a $1 a gallon plus skimming box.

  2. I have:

    1 - 100 gallon

    1 - 90 gallon

The 100 has some sand, shells, and pieces of rock. The 90 is clean and good to go.

I will be in the PDX area next weekend and will bring the tanks down. I think thats a good price for the tanks, but if I'm way out of range, let me know. Just wanting to share the goods with fellow hobbyist.

  3. guess it's been awhile since I've posted pics. I thought using dropbox I could have the image on my post, but I guess it's just a link. Or... I'm doing it wrong. . . LoL. Let me know if you are unable to see via the link and I will figure something out.

  4. I think the demand might be there, however, I think it would be difficult to fill. Your main market would be local, and the cost of your stand verses what someone could buy at a LFS would be significantly different. The best thing to do would talk with some of your local shops and ask if you can hang a flyer of some of your work in their store. Also posting some of your stands on here as well as putting up that you can build to order for size and dim. would be a great start.

  5. I enjoy building mine. It gives me the freedom of design and choosing what wood i want to cover it with as well as whatever stain I'd like. I'm all about my options when it comes to my tanks and stands. . . LoL

  6. I have acquired a 100 gal Eclipse tank, no top, but not what I'm looking for. Wanting to set up a new tank and thought this was the way to go, but, just don't like the long tank.

I'm wanting to find a "cube" tank. Please hit me up if you have any interest in the tank or good leads with a cube.

Thanks, and Happy Monday to all!!

  7. So, I'm looking at a skimmer; its a reef octopus internal 150. The local shop here is asking $125 for it and says it has been used for about a year. On a website that I found, (not sure if I'm aloud to put the name on here or not) that seems to have a good reputation, has said skimmer for sale for $263.99. My question is, should I go new, is the shops asking price a good deal, and any other thoughts you might have.

I have a 100 gal marineland eclipse tank I wanted to trade for the skimmer and an RO/DI unit along with paying a reasonable difference with cash, but they won't do a trade and will order the ro/di unit online. I was a bit surprised because they quoted me the online price, which I can get myself.

Wish I was in the PDX area as I would probably have better shops to work with. Anyways, please give me all the advice you can dispense!

    Thank you!
