    Right. Because Indy Cars are illegal to drive on the highway that means that we are well on our way to ALL cars being banned.

    To be fair that slippery slope fear comes from anti gunners making comments against AR platform. Earlier in the thread you yourself said you didn't like the AR platform because of its extraordinary killing powers. When in reality an AR is no more special than any other gun they all can be set up for different circumstances.

    It's black and has ridged edges and can accept a 100 round drum, like the one James Holmes brought to the theater in Aurora. It's not something most people need.

    You do realize that you can buy a 100 rd drum for pistols, .22 caliber rifle( just in case you're unfamiliar with the caliber that's a child's gun) and a hunting rifle as well as the AR platform

    An AR is a semi auto. You do understand its not even close to the military specs. Its no different then hand gun or semi riffle. If it was auto then you'd have a point.

    But it is black and has ridged edges so it has to be worse.

    "Car crashes killed 33,561 people in 2012, the most recent year for which data is available, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Firearms killed 32,251 people in the United States in 2011, the most recent year for which the Centers for Disease Control has data."

    This is another one of those stats that is looked at wrong. Of the 32,251 gun deaths a majority of those deaths are suicide I don't have the source but you can google it and see that it's about 20K-25K.

    This is a less violent version of a similar mental health problem.

    As a law abiding citizen I'm not too worried what happens with gun control either way I will always find a way to get a new shinny gun. It might just mean that I have to use my trust to buy the common one with an additional tax stamp, but either way I will get them. Feel free to impose any gun control you want I don't not believe it will get the result that people think it will. With that said I am opposed to the gun control argument just for the sake of preventing mass shootings.

     

    These shootings are a mental health problem that we still don't understand. We as a society want to fix the result not the cause. That reactive approach will never get us ahead.

     

    As an analogy use someone driving a car, they have proven to get into multiple wrecks. The cause is bad driving skills the result is broken bumpers. Fixing the mental health issue would be like teaching them to drive better resulting in less car wrecks. Asking for gun control would be the equivalent to installing a steal bumper. The driver is still going to get into wrecks with the car but now the damage will show up elsewhere.

    They better get going.....there defense is looking real bad.....

    Their defense hasn't looked good all year. If I recall correctly they gave 70 points in their two games against FCS schools

    Sad thing is this little Nuvo is hard to deal with and last night my wife sees it and says Wow that is small what is it 10 gallons :doh: Crap I should have bought the Red Sea..........

    We could work something out for me to take over this tank and then you could grab your Red Sea

    In fear that some day this may hurt in a job opportunity I should come clean-I don't smoke a lot a weed.....

     

    So my humor (or lack there of depending who you ask) may be dry-I find the post funny, I just refuse to act my age but if trapped in a room with a bunch of stuff shirts I can be "serious" too

    :)

     

    When at the dollar tree the other day buying 20 packs of super glue gel the clerk asks "got a big glueing project in the works" to which I reply "No this is the best glue I've ever sniffed and a buck a pack......"
