It most likely came from poor water quality. Prob from your LFS. I've seen it occur mainly in systems with poor water quality. Fish could have had an existing condition and then when you moved them over the bacteria just took over the vulnerable fish. Something I see commonly in the fish hatchery I work in. But certain snails are good hosts for certain bacteria. There is a possibility the bacteria could had came with the snails. But no way to tell for sure. I would just do good water changes and see if they recover.

I've got a few of the older back issues. I'll pull them out when I get home and PM you what I find.

Or books about coral and ocean life. I need more stuff to Add to my library !

You could try moving them down and if they don't respnd well after a couple days just move them back. Or try different areas.

I'm might have some birds nest frags in my larger tank at my other house. I'll check and pm u if I still have some

Black sand is awesome. I love it. Petco sand. Cheap, nice color and non magnetic
What kind of black sand did you use? Have you had any issues with it being magnetic? We're possibly doing black sand in our 60g cube we're setting up

Amazing watch for andriod users. (moto 360 black leather watch)
I have an iphone and have no use for it. Barely used.
I want $150 bucks for it, or 100 bucks and 50 dollars worth of coral frags. an amazing deal for a watch that was originally 300!
Looking for zoas:
Text me for more information or with photos

You could try using an air stone with very fine bubbles. Fine bubbles are better for gas exchange. But then again you might get some small air bubbles in the tank. I know that Nuvo is small for a skimmer so you could place the stone away from the pump in the far chamber.

Now that Rastas aren't as rare im sure there has to be some reefers in my area that would sell or trade for a couple polyps. I have tons of Zoas. Send me photos or a message at

I'm sure someone with the proper tools could make one very easy. It just looks like they put fancy trim on it. Very nice though

Sounds like my reef2go.com experience. Horrible customer service. My corals were the wrong corals and more than half of them were dead .

I was looking for one of these last month for my other set up. But then I ended up spending my dinero on a new setup and corals. Good system for sure

Sorry to de-rail the typical response BUT...
24x48x8 Hydroponics tray: $35 at most "indoor" grow stores choose from black or white, best tank investment I ever made. If you put it in a wood frame you can insulate the bottom and sides, I also made a quick acrylic cover. No glass to clean, the sides just grow coraline. You get faster velocity flow since it's only 25 gallons, and PAR is quite lovely in the first 6 inches of water depth, why waste light... I have my return nozzles oriented to minimize surface disturbance and use a wave maker on a 6hr OFF timer when cutting frags, or working in the tank.
Here are some random pics, I've ran this setup for 2-1/2 years now.
Great idea! frags look amazing

And special thanks to
Jack-the-reefer! For the mushroom and the clove polyps
I thought I put him on there too.!
