You can place him on a sheet of nori and see if that helps.

Gave him some nori, seemed to chomp it down. Moved around at night some, and now seems back to normal I think

Hey guys I broke off this whole colony, because it is too close to the surface. I have no place for it now and need it gone quick!
It's color is little on the faded side, due to proximity to lights, but still grows like crazy. It's big at least 7" x 7"
$20

Not knowing how old the bulbs are, they could be pretty old. Also it looks like there are three blue and then three white, i would think it would be better to alternate them.
T5 can really grow coral, I have considered going back to them because I like the look.

I tried a coral beauty once...then it nipped some SPS to death, so I traded it in. But coral beauty's and flame angels are some of my favorites

Some of your imbalance could be caused by low magnesium levels. The way I understand it alk and ca need the mag to balance correctly.
If you are running a tank with mostly softies, I wouldn't think you would need to dose, water changes would be sufficient.

I hope the wrasse got it's mouth stung

Finally got a coral I have been wanting a long time. I tried to feed it today, and as so as I was done here comes melanrus wrasse the a-hole food stealer, pulled every pellet from their mouths.

Maybe not enough algae for him to eat?

Could be possible, I don't have a lot of film type algae any more, at least on the glass.

Didn't someone recently post about snails getting weak and falling of glass, general lethargicness?
I seem to be having one of my big boys doing that. I think I have had it around two years. Usually very active at most hours.

Not trying to hijack the thread, just mentioning that the T5 and OR combo has been really good as well. Pics in this thread of how I mounted ORs into a T5. Something to consider Ninjabeaver
That link didn't work for me, but I would definitely consider doing a t5 supplement. I think I have room in the canopy.

Lights are t5 bulbs, for now. With 3 bulbs blue and 3 white. Must be why some corals do a little better lower.
I started out with t5ho and I had great colors with it, almost considered going back as well. Just have to find a good bulb combo.

Hey Chad what lights are you running? Watch that purple monti, and just adjust lower or higher on how it responds...I have arctic t247's and I got better color from being lower in the tank. But it all depends on how your system is .

Using google I see other threads where folks put there ato line up to the dt, or the overflow. Is this ok and safe to do?
My ato float valve is located in the sump.
