  1. Hey reefers!

I have not one but two dc return pumps!

First one is a jebao dct8000 makes some noise so would be good for a big garage tank or mixing station.

Second pump is a Hydor Seltz D 2400 makes less noise but has 1-1/2" thread pvc adapter glued so you'd need a female 1.5" threaded pvc to connect it. I'm sure if you tried hard enough you could get it off.

Both pumps work just fine and are completely clean but are not silent like dc pumps should be. They both make a slight whine noise...

Asking $25 each both for $40 or trade for something 🤔

Throw me an offer otherwise these pumps will disappear soon as they take up room.

  2. I have a media center I'm using as a stand 40 gallon nuvo with media baskets, mighty jet return pump, and nuvo Skimmer.

Need a truck to fit both probably and someone to help carry maybe but I can help.

Nuvo is scratched up and needs a deep clean but holds water no problem. Just had it up an hour ago!

Tank and stand $50 if you can pickup asap I will hook you up fat.

Skimmer $25 works but not the best Skimmer on the market

Mighty jet return pump 538gph $40

All together I'd do $80 obo.

Look up my name for build thread but here's a quick picture I just snapped

Good luck with the transfer. It may be just the camera angle but your new 42 gallon tanks looks much bigger than your old 40 gallon Nuvo.

I mean it's basically 12 extra gallons of DT space so its quite a bit bigger! I'm stoked and its the perfect size upgrade for me.

  4.

    Filtration will go as follows

Filter Sock, Skimmer, UV, refugium, carbon reactor, and purigen at the return pump.

UV sterilizer pulls water from the first chamber and the carbon reactor pulls water from the last chamber.

Any thoughts or concerns on this design/setup?

Up top I plan on only running the Nero 5 for flow on the back wall and having all three glass panels clean of pumps and wires.

The most annoying part of the transfer is I need to drain the first tank first so I can access the light hanger as it is screwed into the stand, once it's removed I can then mount it to the new stand and theeeeen fill it up. 🙄

Going to be an all day process that is for sure. Sand, salt, and bacteria starter all come in Friday!

Aah sweet! Thank you! Do you think I could use the light for freshwater? Only selling it because I want to buy a freshwater light but if it would work I’ll keep it.

Depends on size of tank but maybe pretty overkill but could always be dimmed down. Spectrum might be kind of weird to dial in.

  7. Vis, if you look at the led pucks the channels should be labeled or even the version of the Puck.

The mint arrays came around 2018 so if you bought then it's most likely the mint arrays.

If before.. It's the v3.1 with limes like in the picture below.

If anything you can power up and see what your bluefish controller says it is or simply see if the lights are mint colored or lime colored.

Either way the v3.1 is a great array and the limes are awesome for par and color.
