I have around 15 Berghies so far in this growing batch and I am finding more babies each day. Not sure when they’ll be fully ready for a new tank though. I don’t like selling the real small babies or even small juveniles. They’ll like be big enough for a new tank in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

I’d be interested but have heard horror stories about using them for aptasia, do they just die and rot after all the aptasia is gone? I have hundreds in my tank and need them gone. Would it be a good idea to buy a few nudis and maybe just give them back once the aptasia is gone?

Sorry to see this go, but I know how life can get in the way.

For those interested in more details about this setup, this was my original tank purchased in 2018, then heavily modified in 2021 as documented in this thread:

    https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/suncrestreefs-reefer-xl-425-rebuild.795310/

I won’t be upset if it doesn’t go. It’s just hard finding time for it. I knew with my normal Hobby it would be close, but now we added sports and also weekly motocross for my daughter so it’s a lot!

  4. 3k for everything I have left… That’s it for price drops. It’s nearing either getting torn down and put in storage. I don’t want to take the time and hassle to part it. Someone can buy it and sell most the stuff on R2R and make some money.

I’m selling my tank due to a huge change in hobbies for my family. This tank is in amazing shape and is heavily upgraded compared to its stock form. The sump has been upgraded to a trigger systems with a fleece roller, that is also larger than the factory sump and a much better layout. Tank and stand from redsea itself is nearly 2800, the sump was almost 1200, skimmer was over 600. I’ll include a list of everything included with the setup. DO NOT LOW BALL ME it’s a waste of my time and yours. This is all professional grade, high end equipment. To replicate this setup with everything included would be over 10 grand.

    List of items included

    Red Sea reefer 425xl

Trigger systems platinum 34 sump with fleece roller

Stand has been modified to fit the larger sump which also increases the overall water volume

    Apex FMM module

    Apex 1 inch flow meter

Apex ATK auto top off system

  5. Buyer backed out so I’m parting this out I will get pics this evening! I’m in Oregon city and can also meet near Wilsonville

NO LIVESTOCK pic if for reference of tank, sump, skimmer.

100 gallon 5 foot tank, glass is in pretty dang good shape some very minor scratches here and there but not noticeable from any more than probably 2-3 feet back from the glass. Coke with a very well built black stand( could use new hinges as they are rusty) tank has center drilled overflow. Tank and stand with 20 gallon long sump-$500

ATB skimmer with avast marine neck cleaner-$250

older style Apex lite with 3 EB8s, one of the eb8s has a bad plug 2 of them function perfectly, temp probe, ph probe (still wet) Wi-Fi dongle, black display-$250

3 Kessil A360w tuna blues, function as they should and include gooseneck and I can also include custom built hangers that mount to the back of the stand, they are made for a 120 gallon depth tank. Lights with goosenecks are-$140 each

i have a bunch of dry rock a lot of them are big pieces at 2 bucks a pound or coke take it all for-$60 bucks

gyre xf130 with controller with spare blades, cages etc and also ice cap interface-$80 bucks without ice cap $100 with ice cap interface

kessil a80 tuna blue was used as a fuge light so the mount is kinda goofy but works great $70 bucks

apex break out box 20 bucks

    pm1 module 40 bucks I have 2 of them

waveline return pump apex ready 100 bucks

    I’ll add more parts tonight

  6. I’m in Oregon city, I don’t have a pic as I’ve moved it to my sump but it’s not small, probably the size of a flattened volleyball. On a nearly flat bottomed rock.  Free. Just pick it up at my house so I can do some more work on my aquascape.

Lol I personally know a farmer that runs almost all her tanks on viparspectras. Shes coraltopia on Facebook and she has probably everything high-end and lowend all in a single car garage with no apex or even a skimmer. Shes bad [language filter] lol

Cool story bro. Buy whatever lights you like 🤣

  8. I never said it was a bad product but you seem to have taken it that way. I honestly don’t care what light anyone runs but find me a full blown sps tank or heavily stocked, high end system running 100 dollar black boxes with high success on growth and color.
Do the cheaper lights work hell yes, will they last as long, no, do they retain any amount of value after used, no. I’ve used everything from the cheap cheap to high end, I’ll stick with products that prove to work for a long time and retain value for when I want to sell them.

    Where is redsea manufacturing?

I would hope you would understand where they are manufactured and how they are manufactured can be two drastic differences. Even if they are made in the same country, the parts, research, warranty etc are guaranteed all better on a redsea product than on an Amazon branded product.
Don’t get me wrong I’ve run jebao etc knock up pumps and had good luck with some of them, but I will guarantee you, your lights will fade/lose par far quicker than a high end light.
