I have found that Clowns will probably end up killing very small BTA. I think the general rule is to have a BTA that is 4x the size of the clown? They usually love them to death.

I have a Chalice that eats hydnophora for lunch!

Hydno will win! I think Hydno will win in every encounter.

 

Hydno seems to have no tentacles, but it has HUGE sweepers that come out at night. I have seen them longer than 4 inches attacking something that grew too close.

Looks normal to me! Nice score. Make sure you feed feed feed! Some folks can get away without feeding, so they say, but keeping them well feed really does help, IMO.

I have had a dimmable DIY 55 Cree LED system up and running for about 3.5 wks and my colors are popping along with much better growth! I started with running them at 55% for the first week, increasing 5% each week. Now they are at 70% for whites/high noons and 75% for blues. I have always had problems getting my blues/purples to come out even to the point i thought i had this simple purple encrusting monti, nothing special, with the new lights it's looking like Purple Haze! My dull green digi has become vibrant neon green. I am also seeing much better PE. I couldn't be happier!

I HAD a mated pair and they were never really mean to my new fish i added but god for bid if i stuck my hand in or TRIED to put in some coral frags. I would have to hold the frag there until glue set up and then within twenty four hours they had knocked over the new frag and a couple others. Finally got rid of them and i am in rehab for PTSD! I miss their activity but not their aggressiveness!

I'll take one too if someone is coming north? I might be able to head south, but a ton of 5hit on my plate right now!

Yes Shaun we know they were accidentally mounted upside down. There were a couple of other ones I believe that were mounted upside down too. I don't think it affected the growth though.

It may not effect growth, but certainly gives them a leg up on fugliness!! (drooler)

Big John, that might get the ugliest vote, well at least from me! For some reason it looks like a big boil! BTW how are those Fruit Loop Zoas doing? My just ended up completely melting away about 4 months ago. Those Red Hornets are great!

Alright here is my entry for ugly frag comp. From what i have seen i'm not gonna win this. Had a little tip die back but with the addition of my new LED light (only up for 3 weeks) it looks like i'm getting new encrusting on the die back part.

Dave it's unfortunate that i haven't meet you yet! I was hoping to get a couple of clowns from you in the future after i have recovered from my PTSD that my Golden Maroon inflicted on me over the last two years. Hopefully we will cross paths, until then enjoy you new freedom!
