It's a riptide not really supposed to replace a vortech.

You forgot global warming. (hitme)
oh yeah and governmentwarming

The stupid thing is we the hobbyist are not really contributing to the decline of these species. It's the pollution and over fishing that's causing the problems. Most of the wild propagation is maricultured now days. That's not stealing from the reefs that's preserving them.
-
This again? We go over this every year and nothing is ever passed. I'll worry when it happens. Even then we have a good amount of corals propagated in aquaria we should be fine.

Wow John very lucky and cool. You were a great contribution to the forum and I hope you stick around and share your experience with us jelly folk.

Nice......(whistle)

Those schools are pretty rad' date=' but I think if you look at 99.999% of reef tanks, you'll find fish that would never interact in nature.. Same with corals..... and inverts...... and.....[/quote']
Yes it's just a goal. Something to keep in mind. Reefing is an art.

I guess I'll resurrect this thread since it was lost. Show us what you look like, pics of you doing stuff, etc. I think it's fun to see what people actually look like.
I'll start:
Beaver football. I'm the one on the far left. The blonde lady is my wife.
Hanging with the wife on a walk through a garden.
Your a wrestler? What's your name I think I know you.

I might want that dude. I'm looking for a small tank to get my hands wet.

I would guess the ballast.

The ability to search the site via topics has taken a big hit. Equipment isn't the only thing that has changed in the last two years. Disease treatment and prevention, coral dips, equipment reviews, and sometimes just good memories that can be relived by paging through old threads.
How many questions will be asked again that were asked and answered, those answers lost. There was a wealth of information and knowledge lost, Yea, most of us have all the old pics stored on our local hard drives and could rebuild the tank threads, the show off threads, etc. but the time invested is immense when you think about. Most of us are busy with daily life and don't have time to devote countless hours of time to rebuild these things.
Those that did spend many hours recovering what was recoverable should be thanked. I know what its like to try to recover from huge data loss. Been there done that back when I worked in aerospace in the '80's and '90's. Back then it entailed a lot of manual threading of magnetic tape drives.
So yea, its kind of a big deal.
OK yeah that's why I asked, just didn't know how you all felt. I guess I just look at things differently.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset about the lost threads? This is a forum, just start new topics and get back to where you left off. No data was lost just a bunch of threads which were already talked about and moved on. We didn't loose any valuable information. Not a while lot has changed since 2012 but the equipment we use. Who care what your post count was, that's not what this is about. Let's just puck up and go.

I honestly don't know who the president was can some fill this in for me' date=' and if they are still around do they have an explanation on why they didn't back the site up.[/quote']
It was emerald and honestly it was the best years this forum had. She was great to have around. She made things fun had guest speakers at here house, took pictures of all the meetings and helped people. You could tell she genuinely cared about the forum with no motives other then bringing everyone in the hobby together.

Big deal I'm willing to bet eveyone on the site has said that or worse about there jobs dose that mean you get fired or do have the right to free speech!!!!!
Yeah we're our vice president? We're they currently working on another site during the same time? Did we trust them to reconstruct our site?

Wow he should be removed from office.

Try bio pellets it's much easier, just start with a small amount and add slowly it should work pretty well.
