I think the store you are talking about was in downtown Albany. I have no idea what it was called but it did have 2 stories.
The local Portland/Vancouver stores are GREAT, but if you are talking about ALL of Oregon you have to include Reeftech down in Medford that list.
The place in Albany. All for fish. Now closed

Zoo naming means nothing. If you like it, keep it. There's no real lineage attached.
-
Is it just me or do these look oddly like reefstar units?
They all come from the same place.

Are Ocean Revive lights made here in Portland? I can't seem to find any info on that on their website.
No they are made in china just like yours would be. I was here before any of these guys even started selling the lights and I will tell they had a hard time cracking the market just as you would, its still possible.
-
You start a business yet brad?
-
Almost half the people are missing the point. No these local distributed lights are NOT built in our back yards. They are NOT more efficient. They are no different then what this guy is proposing. They are all China made leds. Yes there may be a label and maybe some tweaking (which I doubt) but still same ole. Why not let this guy offer up a better deal? Look what people said when the first string of lights came to us. We're we not the same to them as we are with this guy?

It's not about par, it's about touch-ups.

But if I did then I could make sense of that post. I have a feeling your being crafty.
-
Sorry, this makes no sense.
Not sure where the stupid edit button is.

What You Can Got Your Post Count returned?

Man that's horrible to hear and I know the feeling. I will be looking out for sure. If you could post a picture that would help too.

Love the new look. Great job

What is cleaned from the rock? I don't understand why you would want to dissolve some of your rock. How does that help?
Sometimes live rock can have pest that won't go away. That's why people are buying less and less live rock and getting dead rock. When you acid bath the rock you strip it from everything including pest.
-
No its not going to remove enough to change the shape or surface. It will clean the rock tough.
-
A little early to be a success but it's good to have people working on a solution.
-
Yes I did all my new rock

Thanks you for posting this.

I really do feel bad about the condition I put the site in, but I've owned up to that. So you're little "Micah sucks" attempt is moot - and dumb.
To be fair though, I went with the recommendations from vBulletin. If the blame should go anywhere, it should go to the company who makes the crappy software they are pushing people to upgrade to. Chief almost made the same mistake as he has said. One of the selling points of the new software was "better performance", which as we can see isn't the case. Also, on the test server (with the same specs, on the same hosting provider) it performed well with one or two people on it. Once it was brought live, it struggled to keep 4+ people surfing succesfully. On top of that, the instant backups run, it buries the needle of the memory - causing the server to choke at midnight every day. I was on my way to upgrading the site. So, I posted my "here's the plan" post. I was approved to start the migration testing, etc.
During that time there was some disagreement on the direction of the club happening that I did not agree with. I've been clear about how I think the forum should be ran to the BOD/Officers from the very beginning - before the upgrade, at the moment of my being elected. This difference in opinion made me question the effort I've been putting into the site. Would you keep putting coins in a machine that kept poking you in the eyeball? A better idea was the cut ties, think about stuff, then put my money where my mouth is. Which is what I did. I can now put my blood sweat and tears into a site I can run the way I feel it should be run.
I will re-state though, that I feel bad about the condition this site is in. It really wasn't supposed to go down like this. I had a feeling people would start saying I did it on purpose... To sabotage.. Those people need to wake up, get real, and realize it's a hobby forum.
I was waiting for the first stone to be thrown by somebody... Had a feeling it would be you Kris. That said, you're still welcome on NWREEF. Just leave your attitude at the door. Cool? Do we need to discuss this further? Does anybody need to kick me in the nuts some more? Let's get this over with.
if you had good intentions that's great. if you or any of your friends want to down play the speed of a site you created that's not okay.
remember good intentions don't justify the out come.
I'm not holding any grudges. your free to do as you like but don't be critical of this site...for we put our whole trust and faith in your superior admin skills.

You mean coraline algae? Maybe I'll gently move the very top layer around a bit more. I did it once but came right back.
Yeah its just hard writing certain words on this cheesy phone.
-
It's coral algae. The green stuff is algae also. if you stir your sand bed frequently it's helps.

The odds of you even being in the hobby by the time that fish is to large is unlikely. The turn over rate on this forum is about 2 years. I'd say it's fine for now, if you do happen to make it past the 2 year mark upgrade that tank.
