Iam with waves on this u can try calling reflow and ask them how much it will be they have the best customer service, and they will tell I how much it will be before fixing it. And if u can get somebody with a good long history with them they can send u a temp pump while IRS is being fixed

well iam no expert but i have a regular Top off valve that i put inside of the sump and just did a gravity feed from a bucket and it works perfect, saved me a lot of money then buying a pump and a auto switch. If i understand you correctly then the system that you were looking for request that you get a pump that will connect to the switch and then once activated the pump will pump water in and then turn off. i never tried it that ay but it sound good as well if you have water source in another place besides your fish stand. if you want a cheap way go old school if you want to spend some money you can get the Kit and then a pump. But there are More experienced reefers here tha will be of much better help. looking forward to seeing what you end up doing.

Skimmer So after looking at some skimmers and wanting to maybe play around with the skimmer Guys what are you thinking of these pics can i make the NW200 to be something like the 2000 of the gen. if i i cut the 90 degree elbow that point to the bottom and insert a 6" cylinder in the middle and attach it to the bottom so that the only way water will get out is through the bubble plate. ? ????? thanks IMPUR thanks for the feed back, i will work on the mesh mod and the input to the skimmer is already moded for a bigger imput. and the venturi size i will work on next. i like when people tell me the truth and say it wont work.

Sorry Ed yeh it's a little of a work so I have it done and it works wonders and iam not getting any micro bubbles I'n the sump. Iam thinking maybe I'll cut the pipe that's taking the water out and build a cylinder with a bubble plate for experimenting like the reef octopus pro. Here are some pics of what I did and it works great. Let me know what u guys think it's my first mod ever

Hi guys I have tried and tries to find a mod for a reef octopus that would involve a bubble plate I know those work great and I could find it, so I went ahead and made one, still in process of putting the bottom of the skimmer back on. Please help me out if u see something that I did wrong. Iam planing to put a ball valve on the end where the water flows out. An I'll take a pic of the skimmer with a bubble plate.

Trautman it won't lead to stress no worry all u are doing is sanding the acrylic down and then bufferying it. In order to get stress u need to be buffing on one spot with a buffer pad on high speed for some time. I work with acrylic and sanding and then buffing is best when u have a lot of scratches and deep ones. Just like waxing a car not picking on you bro

i have the same skimmer and that THING ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who ever will get it will LOVE IT TO DEATH!!!! sucks things out like no othe.... Bob if you will not sell the skimmer i might get it from you for my other set up.
