I have an old protein skimmer that I would like to get rid of. All it needs is a pump and an air pump and yes it's a home made one that my buddy and I built in about a day or so. It still work pretty good and I'll clean it out b4 anyone gets it. I had it on my 55 gallon and then my 75 gallon and it worked great but since last year I upgraded to a new tank I thought I should change everything else that I had as well (sump,pumps & ect...). Since today on my honey do list was to clean out the garage which I have all most done (laugh) lol and I found it I thought I would see if anyone wants it for a new tank or know someone out there that needs one and doesn't have allot of money just let me know & it is an external protein skimmer and the pump it would need is a 200-300 gph and what ever size air pump. The price for the protein skimmer is $10 or a frag or two .

As of right no I don't know but I'll ask my buddy that help me cut them down and I'll get back to you on that

I had two trees chopped about March time or so and now they just been sitting in our back yard with allot of other misc item that I have to take to mcfarlane here in a week or so when I get my Vacation (clap) and if anyone out there wants the wood Just let me know all I would ask for is a frag or two lol if anyone out there wants it and if not I'll take it to mcfarlane on my vacation but much rather help someone else out if they would like the wood. It's not much I know but it's a cheap price to pay for I think . I don't know what the trees where because I just wanted them down but it fire wood of some sort (scratch) . thanks,

One of my buddies said you should change your sand out every couples years and I have done some reading online and in Magazine and they say not to because you would lose allot of important biological organisms(sad) and not to mention the hassle of removing all the rock,corals & ect.... So what do you folks out there think or have to say about it. I was just wondering why you would and does it really help you in the long run ??

I don't know I think it would be hard to say for me. Maybe retest?? I had the same thing happen to me a while back and I just did a water change and called it good and retest as well

Yeah my wife and i like to go in there and check it out time to to time he is very nice and knows what he is doing and all ways tries to help you out if he can which is great

Ok so I did a 20 gallon water change today and changed the filter sock & if I'm to understand this correctly now I should do a water change every week ?? and if so how many Gallons should I take out ?? I also was talking to one of LFS owners and he suggested Phos-buster pro. Has anyone ever used it & if so does it work ??
