  2. (nono)ancient chinese secret(nono) (laugh) the tank gets the same additives as the 55 gal did with a 20 gal wet dry sump. the only difference is the 60 has 2-250 watt 20,000k mh and 2- 54 watt 7100k vho attinics

  6. i am impressed that you have done the remote temp sensor on this thermostat. there are some stats that you can get the remote temp sensor without any mods
  7. i am wondering if the plastic dip would work. it is for tools and such and i beleive it is sold at home depot
  8. there are some thermostats the have an auto changeover from heating to cooling that could do this. they have adjustable dead band between heat cool that can be adjusted as close as 1 degree.
  9. i second pather..... by the way, my frags have been moved to my 60 gal tank.... this might just give you guys a chance...lol. i had to relocate them because i am setting up the 150 in the location the 55 gal used to be.
  10. my polyp count as of todat is 17 includes babys. also have a few nubs
  11. these small cans hav oil in them and should not be used in refrieration units. I am not trying to flame anyone I just don't want to see you cause more problems than you have now..
  12. do not add any oil!!!! it is in the resivoir in the compressor and add oil you take a chance of siezing the compresor or breaking valves. both systems are the same basic operation but have different lubrication caractoristics. you are correct on the oil needing to be the synthetic peg oil. there is sight glasses on the larger comercial compressors so you know how much oil to add and we are talking more on the quart amount.but with the little compressors, there is no way to know how much to add and we are talk ounces and if yopu add to much, you can cause compressor failour and possible compresor burn out and it is very hard and costly to clean a system after a burn out. Proceed with caution and have someone that is experienced do the work. do not just add freon, it is a blend and the different compoinents leak out at diffeent rates. if you have a leak, you have to recover all that is left inb the system and then scale it back in. i am in sales now but this is what i did for over 14 years. you need to have a micron gauge too. if your going to have Pnkrcklives do it. have him pm me and i can give him info. i am off my soap box now...LOL
  13. those are king valves on that unit. yes, you need to evac/recover the unit and then pull a proper vacume on the system to acceptable micron level . this is a refridgeration unit and you may be able to accomplish a recharge though the way you discribing but damage the unit in the long run. i work for a heating and refrigeration company and done service for over 14 years. you can cut corners on this but if it is not done properly, it will cost you alot more in the future.
  14. yes they do!! had one for a few months, if he wasn't eating coraline algee, he would carry frags around and drop them off. lost a nice chalice becaudse of him flipping it over on the sand and not finding it for a few days

  17. Tim always has great stuff and prices. Here is my latest addition from westside. I got a harliquin shrimp too. But he is a bit busy in hidden place. I am glad to see the wrasse doing so good inspire of the quick acclimation. As getting out of the car and walkingto the house, the paper bag was a little damp and the fish bag fell to the ground and popped like a water balloon. I found tha wrasse an carried him into the house. In the tank he went. Six hours later he is doing his job like a champ. He was a little confused for acre minutes but seems to be doing great. Thanks Tim! Great fish, just wish I didn't fumble him. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
