  1. Still have it forsale? I'm available via text 503-799-5383. Thomas
  2. Tank forsale Send me some pics. I am interested in possibly the whole system. If you are starting dental school, let me know also. I teach at OHSU. Thomas
  3. Dosing I dose with three litermeter 3 pumps with bulk reef supply 3 part. I am setting up my system again and I will show you a pic soon. The advantage of the litermeter versus the other dosers is the ability to calibrate your dosing pumps, computer controlled adjustment of amounts and it is dosed something like 190 times during the day. They are truly a set and forget it item. They are considerably more expensive than most other dosing systems but to me it is worth it.
  4. Be prepared to Drain some water from your main tank into the others to reduce some stress while you perform your repair. I had a similar problem on a 75 that I repaired, but it held without concern with some home depot acrylic and weld-on. The shearing strength of acrylic is amazing. Its like balsa wood. lol Thomas
  5. Tank forsale PM Sent...........................
  6. The MP10 is great! My Solana has never looked better. Thanks so much. Its inspired me to get the new MP40's for my 125 build. Thomas
  7. Live Rock I'll take it all. I'd like to come and see it. Thomas
  8. Hey there guys, thought I would offer this up before I try and sell it on Craigslist. It is a rather nice Sharp portable AC unit that I bought from Costco last year. Since I now have a big home A/C, its been sitting. It works very well and even has an ionizing feature to remove odors. It looks like one of these, excuse me as I dont remember the model at the moment. It is in perfect cosmetic and working order. http://www.sharpusa.com/ForHome/HomeEnvironment/AirConditioners.aspx I paid somewhere around $450 for it I believe. I was thinking that its probably worth somewhere around 275 to 300 now. As I have a new 125 coming, I could definitely use some live rock, an automatic top-off, or another tank to quench my unsatiable reef desires lol. I'd be interested in trading for a fair amount of rock, some frags and or maybe livestock. Let me know what you've got! Just give me a buzz if this is something you could use. I'm open to many ideas. Thanks for your time, Thomas
  9. True, never thought of it that way! lol I can suture up your softies if you cut too much away!
  10. Sure, I'll PM you a little later and maybe setup a time.
  11. Thanks so much Emerald, where are you located at? I'd love to come and see your tanks! 4 tanks is not crazy, by the time I'm done, I'm gonna build my own fish tank house adjacent to the main house with a lazy boy (swiveling one) in the center with tanks all around! Until then, the wifes okay with me taking over the garage! Thomas
  12. Hello guys, My name is Thomas and I am new to the forum but not to the hobby or the area. I currently have been in the hobby on and off for a few years. I have never been able to settle down and setup everything as I would like until now as time and space have been an issue. I currently have a solana 34 gallon that I just recently started up again after moving and its pretty much a rebuild. Now that the bug has bitten again, I'd like to setup another larger reef to house some nicer fish as I've always been limited by tank size in the past. So a little more about me, I am a periodontist by trade. That's a dentist that does surgery (implants, bone grafts, gum surgery and the like). I live around the beaverton area and am crazy about this hobby. Now finally with some funds and a little more time, I'd love to get some help from you local guys with established tanks. Any frags, livestock, that you would like to sell or donate, I'd be interested in. Not soliciting any business here but If I can be of any help to some of you with dentistry also, PM me. I've had many people in the past be generous with their time and efforts and I'd like to give back to some of you as well if I can. Glad to be around others who understand how amazing and consuming this hobby is. Thanks, Thomas
  13. Hey there, I'm also interested in a setup of that size. You mind if I call Arron too? Where is the tank located at? Thanks, Thomas
  14. Is the tank a 4 footer? Please PM message me so we can talk. I'm interested in buying the whole setup. I'd like to make you an offer, can you help me transport it? Thomas
  15. Thanks a lot! Whenever I have gone to see Woody in the past, he really only has acrylic tanks. Is this still true? I've had acrylic in the past but I just love the ease of my solana and not being too worried about scratching the glass.
  16. Hey there guys, I am in the market for a new larger tank, 90+ gallons, 4ft variety. Where would be the best place locally to purchase one with a matching stand? I would prefer a glass tank but am open to the idea of an acrylic. Any suggestions? Thanks so much, Thomas
