I am starting to get a little hair algae. Any sugestions or tips. I am running a RODI unit and just changed the filters a week ago. I am running 2-250w halides and 2 VHO'S. I am planing on doing a water change in the next couple of days. I only feed about 1 or 2 times a week. My VHO'S run from 10am-midnight and halides run from noon til 10pm. And it is in a room that gets light from outside so maybe i need to invest in a shade for my patio door. I had a yellow tang but recently lost him to my MP40W and that is about the time that it started to be more noticeable. I do still have a lot of snales and a couple handfulls of small blue hermits. But for fish all I have left is 2 clowns and 1 Royal Grama no workers. Oh and my halides are a little over a year old and VHO's are around 8 months to a year old.

Well Hello I am new to PNWMAS. I got my first tank about two years ago. I was going to start with a 30-40g tank but I ended up with a 160g tank. It is an incredible hobby I love it but it is sooooooo addicting. Well the main thing this post is for is saying hello so Hello Everyone.

Does anyone know a good fair priced person to buff my 160g tank. I am new to PNWMAS so I dont know a hole lot about it yet. So I hope I am posting this in the right spot. Thanks Kris

Gen-X Water Pump PCX-55HP only used for about Three months for closed loop. 110.00

I just got the mp40w about two weeks ago. I have not tried any thing besides the lagoon mode the pump is awesome. I might try the reef crest mode since people are saying good things about it. This was money well spent i got to take out my PCX-55hp and two Koralia 4's and this does a better job than all of them. But I think it is a good idea to put the little filter that goes around it on. I lost a tang at the beginning of the week without it on. I dint think it would have happened if it was on.
