  1. This may be a dumb question, but why a frag rack? Does it help the frags grow quicker? Keep them out of reach of things that can knock them over like snails? I'm just curious if I should have one or not.
  2. will do. But, I'll probably have to save up for that and bring a big cooler 8)
  3. My wife and I try to make Portland trips whenever we can. I have a brother in law that lives in Beaverton. Two years ago I went down there over spring break and we went to the zoo with it snowing. What was that about? lol
  4. Hi there. I was out of the hobby for quite a while so I could get my masters degree and since I graduate in the fall, I'm getting back into it. I never took down my tank, but I didn't give it the attention that it needed and it basically became a fish only tank for a while after a whoopin that I took from hair algae. Anyways, I have a 6 gal nano for the wife and mine is a 75g built 6 feet long by 18 deep for corals. I use 150w metal halides with pheonix 14k de bulbs and actinics (no idea if I spelled that right). I'm having a blast getting back into corals. Zoas, shrooms, colt corals, galaxia, and colt corals are in my stock so far. My tank has been setup for 5 years so it's well aged even though it's not well stocked with corals yet. I look forward to learning more and sharing the fun with you all. Thanks for the welcome!
  5. Very cool. Now I have to go back to the beginning of this thread to see what I'm supposed to do next. Do you need anymore growers? I've only got 2 different kinds of zoas, but they are doing great in my wife's nano and in my 75 gal.
  6. Yep, paid tonight. There isn't much local here for saltwater so I was excited to see the Portland group so active and figured I would show support.
  7. Any chance a brand new member can join this? I love zoas. I live in Clarkston, Wa though and I was wondering how you do shipping and all that?
