  1. Thanks for the idea. That doesn't interfere with the light?
  2. Hi there, I'm getting back into this after many years just having fish only and I previously was using some egg crate to cover the tank. I think I had a jumper in there previously. But now, it looks better and gets better light distribution if I don't have the egg crate on the top of the tank. Do I need to cover? Tank list of inhabitants: Maroon clown Bicolor blenny purple spotted goby blue tang purple pseudochromis Hermits, snails etc cleanup
  3. I'm lovin the phoenix 14k in my tank. I got them for 47 each on e-bay
  4. I was just joking. He's a bachelor and I think too busy to devote time to it, but ya never know. Once you start, it's addicting.
  5. I have a brother-in-law in beaverton. I may just have to get him into saltwater to he can keep the frags I want for me. Think that will fly? lol
  6. You know, this whole being 6 hours away from you all is really annoying when you keep posting such gorgeous items up for sale lol. Those are very nice. I'm just going to have to pm you when I'm planning a trip over there so you can put together a frag pack hehe.
  7. All I know is that if I let her name the fish, then she's generally ok with me feeding the saltwater addiction lol. Tink is also in love with my blue tang. He is not sure what to do now with the BTA in the picture. He just swims by it all the time and rubs up against Tink whenever she's out of it, which isn't often. It's a weird dynamic in my tank. It's probably something in the water hehe.
  8. What are you using to target feed? How do you make sure they get it first and not everyone else in the tank?
  9. Yeah, mine kept trying to feed the anemone food chips and it kept trying to move the chips off of him and the clown just kept at it picking the chips back up and putting them in the anemone. The BTA closed up that night and didn't open until morning. I think the clown ticked him off trying to force feed him lol.
  10. Hi there, I just thought I would post up a couple pics of tinkerbell (my wife named the fish) and her new G BTA that she is in absolute love with. It's hilarious to watch. She is amazing at feeding it too. I throw in a krill and she grabs it and makes sure it gets fed. I'm amazed by their relationship after only 3 days. That's true love lol. And a ric shot, just because
  11. I'll take it. Holler at me when you're ready.
  12. It took my maroon clown 2 days to start hosting in my G BTA. He hadn't had an anemone for 3 years and wow does he love it. It's really fun to watch
  13. Unfortunately my LFS doesn't stock much in the way of saltwater. Snails in particular so I've had to order online and I've done it 3 times and the first two times worked out great, this last time I had dead snails and some dead hermits. My fish have always come out great. This last time I ordered a Quad BTA and I received a gorgeous green BTA so it was a happy mistake. My ricordia and mushrooms are doing great and so is the bicolor blenny. The only loss was the snails and hermits, which truly was the main reason I was ordering. Like I said though, if I had an LFS that stocked snails and didn't charge 4 dollars each, I wouldn't take the chance on ordering.
  14. Sorry about that. I was hoping shipping was cheaper. Hopefully I didn't inconvenience anyone. They are very nice.
  15. It did kinda look like it was melting. Like some sort of bt oil spill or something lol
  16. Very nice! I would be stoked about that one
  17. What methods do the growers use to grow the zoas? Certain food, light, tank placement. There's probably a thread huh? lol
  18. Holler at me if you want to get rid of a rose. I've got a quadcolor and my wife really wants a rose.
  19. Thanks, When I saw that Toad below my name I thought "wow, they're already making fun of my name? lol
  20. I've had mine for 5 years and he threatens the fish, but never gets a hold of them.
