  1. Well so far so good. The fish seem to be much happier and the anenome as well. I think I'm going to get at least one more for the otherside of the tank but works great!
  2. I got mine from linens and things for 40 bucks with free shipping. seemed like a pretty good deal for it. Never would have thought of linens and things selling it but I guess that's what happens when businesses close down and someone buys there website.
  3. So I've been at this for a little bit and before I go too much overboard I wanted to see what everyone else thinks about adding more rock. My tank is a little taller than most 75 gallon tanks and I plan on adding more rock but I am a little unsure as to how much more I should add? Is there such a thing as too much? What should I do to keep the rocks in place? Do I use the same epoxy for coral frags? Any suggestions would be great! Here's the before pic and here is what it looks like this morning, I just fed the tank so that's why there is white specs in the picture.
  4. I say get a BTA. That way when it starts to out grow your tank you have an excuse to get a bigger one...lol I have a torch and they look great and just like everyone else said they don't move around. My Green BTA was moving like crazy. If your alright with it moving BTA's are pretty cool.
  5. Getting it finally today! I will let everyone know how it works out. I have practically no flow in the tank right now so anything is going to be a huge improvement.
  6. Hope he's running that on wednesday. I'm not off till then.
  7. I'd be willing to trade for my foxface and blue hippo tang as well.
  8. So I need about 30 to 40lbs of rock for my tank still and wanted to see if anyone is willing to part with some for a reasonable price. I've been buying up pieces from people who are getting rid of there tanks so let me know if you have any rocks! PM me. Thanks
  9. Yeah it's not that the lights I've got are bad, just not great for how deep my tank is. I will get with you once I get a new setup. Should be within the next two weeks.
  10. I wish I could but I've got to come up with some cash to get the right lighting for my 75 gallon salt tank as it is. I'm sure that sooner or later I will end up with another salt tank just not at the moment.
  11. Wow. Really no intrest here.... anyone have any suggestions? Other than turning it into another salt tank. My wife would kill me if I did that right now.lol.
  12. Get in touch with the manufacture of the car. I had to deal with toyota a few years back nothing to this extreme but the dealership had to listen after that. They typically have an area customer service manager that works for the car manufacture vs the dealership. Wish you luck! Otherwise check at other dealerships as well. Just because this one won't help you doesn't mean that another dealer doesn't want the money from the car manufacture.
  13. So I figured I'd give it a try on the forum since the other freshwater tank sold pretty fast, I've got a lot invested as most of you know your stuff on here about Saltwater and the equipment this is a nice setup. 50 gallon column tank Rena XP2 filter 12 african chiclids (3-5 inches) 2 larger plecostomous (10-12 inches) just ordered some filter pads and carbon inserts so those would go with the setup as well. Asking $175
  14. Glad to head some good stories out of these lights. I'm trying to find out where to buy them now. It looks like aquatraders.com sells them but they are out of stock. Any local fish stores sell them? I have one other option with t5 setup that I'm considering as well.
  15. Whoever this was they don't seem to respond to emails..
  16. Do you know if they have the MH Odyssea lights? I'm currently running CF and I don't want to over do it for the corals either?
  17. I was kind of thinking of leaning more towards T5's now. The more I read on those lights the worse it gets. I found some Wavepoint lights that looked of intrest as well. http://www.fishtanksdirect.com/48inch4x54watt460nm12000kt-5lightfixturebywavepoint.aspx I'd like it to be on the cheaper side as I've already spent a lot in the initial setup in the past few months and my couches aren't all that comfortable...lol Looking forward to seeing what you've got!
  18. So I have read all sorts of good and bad about these lights and was hoping that someone could shed some light locally about them. I don't have a lot of money and I'd like to get into MH. I need a 48" setup for my 75 gallon tank. I'd like to have something that sits on the tank as I have 15 foot high ceilings and don't have an easy way of getting them to look good hanging. I also don't want to spend more than $400 for the whole setup. I have asked some of the shops around here about lighting but wanted to get someone elses opinion as well. I understand that Odyssea is not the best brand in the world but It's got to be better than what I am currently running. Is there anything else in this price range that will do everything I need? http://www.reefshops.com/odyssea-48-760w-aquarium-lamp-pl-led-metal-halide-light-fish-reef-with-power-compact-.html Lots of help would be appriciated on this one.
  19. You sound just like the advertisments for it..lol Glad to hear that someone has tried it out and is happy with it. Looking forward to getting it!
  20. Great deal just a little too far out of town for me.. amazing price!
