According to their website the aquac remora needs 5.5 inches of clearance(the PRO needs 6.5) . I measured it and found I have about close to 7 so it will work fine. I've checked other forums and everyone has only good things to say about it as long as you get the maxi 1200 pump so I guess now I just need to find a good deal on one. Yes HOB and it can only stick up about 3-4 inches above the tank.

I'm planning on getting a skimmer for my 29 this weekend but I need input. I have found plenty under $50 but I dont want to buy one that does'nt do its job.

I agree with all of you. I have been considering getting rid of the Mandarin since pods are a PITA to find around here. The tank has been up for about 5 years I got it about 3 months ago and it was "infested" with pods. I have noticed they are dwindling and have been adding tigger pods every couple of days. The problem now is catching her without tearing my tank apart. I also have been thinking of more firefish I just got this one lest weekend. I'm not reallu a fan of the skunks but I do like the nakeds. Black and white are also on my short list. I dont have a skimmer. when I bought the tank it had a home made one that was too tall for where I put the tank. I'm going to buy a HOB (any opinions on these?) one probably next month. I've been doing about 6-7 gallons every other week and tests have all been nearly perfect. Matbe I'll narrow it down to 3-4 options and make the kids pick one. lol BTW anybody want a Mandarin or have a good way to catch it?

Tank is a 29 stock list now is Orange diamond goby Mandarin Firefish Banggai Cardinal 3- Pepermint shrimp 1 Zebra snail 3- nassarious snails 6 hermits serpent star 55 lbs LR planning on 1 more fish and wanting a clown like maybe a black foot or onyx or? Any opinions or suggestions?

I made one out of 1/4" plastic tubing. Just figure out the lenght you want apply heat with a lighter and wait for it to deform. Then you just stretch it until it is the diameter you want and cut it off. Heat the other end and stick the dropper end into it. You may want to add some epoxy to the dropper/tube connection to make it stronger. Its not the prettiest thing in the world but it was free and only took a minute or so.

I got some from Frank thanks again man I got it home and dug though it, I did not realize how much was there I dont think I'm gonna have room for it all. lol I stopped by upscales too you were right wow lots of nice stuff and good prices. I bought a few frags and a brittle star. Then I stopped at coral reef on the way home and spent more money. My wife is not gonna be happy lol. Anyway thanks to everyone for the responses.
