    Sea hare

He cleaned an 150 gallon tank in less than a week. His belly is nice and full! 20g would take less than a day with this guy. I will see how it goes with the hair algae and if it's gone then I will definitely "Hare the love"
  4. I have no freakin clue what anybody is saying. I don't speak "plumbing" (or I I tend to tune it out.(scratch) Speaking of overflows, Alex, the one we got from you is also kinda noisy and sometimes gurgles and sounds like a toilet flushing. It works great but just wondering if there is a safe simple way to cut down on the noise? I would rather deal with the noise then deal with water all over the nice basement however.....
  5. I feed mine pieces of frozen scallops.
  6. looove the Rasta Zoa and the PPRPE paly. Like the name Shiznit and got a good laugh at the name: "Unattainable Protopalythoa frags" with the "add to cart" below it. Nobody else saw the humor in that(scratch)
  7. I agree with Impur and Snowpunk. I didn't see a lot of choices. I like the idea of going with someone locally. Reefboy if you are watching any thoughts?

    Sea hare

We had a serious hair algae problem in the new FOWLR tank. I mean serious! It looked like Oscar the Grouch had drowned in our tank! So we got this sea hare and it cleaned it all up in no time flat! Amazing!(clap) My question now is I hear these guys can do poorly and starve now that most of the hair algae is gone. Is this true? Should I pass him along to someone else with a hair algae problem? He's so ugly but cool so I would like to keep him but I don't want him to starve to death either.
  9. Ahhh! so cute! You should have posted that in the show me your pets thread!
  10. I vote for the Hawaii Rainbow Palys and the Blue Agave People Eater(clap). I don't know if we're to that stage just got a little excited! Tanktop74 and I would also like to be growers.
  11. Makes sense. Is there a maximum number allowed to join?
  12. Frank, someone is selling a half dead one in the classifieds: http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18571
  13. You should PM Frank he was looking for a broken or dead 3/4 seaswirl.
  14. Reefnjunkie would be considered a good pest(laugh). Just kidding Brad. Maybe a better title would be "Bugs friend or foe?" or "Please ID friend or foe"?
  15. I'm in Mick. How much is it going to be to buy in to this? Does it depend on what we decide to get?
  16. We have nerite, trochus, nassarius, and a turbo snail.
  17. Welcome to the membership Gabe! (clap)I just joined last week. You don't know what you missed in the member's only section!
  18. Our RBTA did that because we changed the flow in the tank and started getting a lot of flow to it until it moved. The other thought is it doesn't like you're pretty blue maxima clam and if you give me the clam it will open up right away.
  19. Cmon guys! It's hard to stump the forum gang!
  20. I stopped using a QT on the fish I had because it seemed like they did worse and got more stressed out in the smaller system and just bought from places that I have never had any problems with the livestock. Really good advice. An ounce of prevention as they say. It makes sense. I just never thought about it. Do you dose calcium, magnesium , etc in the quarantine tank. Again I just worry because it is harder to maintain parameters in a smaller system.
  21. Really 8 weeks in a QT? Do people really do this?(scratch) Does that include all corals (chalices, zoas). I don't think I can wait that long before putting it into the tank.
  22. Was wondering who was going to go there...... Should have known it would be you Brad! I tried to refrain after receiving my first neg rep point LOL.(laugh)
  23. So then why dip frags in iodine if it is not helping anything? would inspection with a magnifying glass and scraping off any hitchhikers be better or should we set up a QT for frags too?(scratch) I apologize if these are stupid obvious questions. Just a newbie.
  24. And I will make eye contact with you when I speak to you if you become a member . Just kidding! How about I will be your best friend for a week Oh wait I didn't want to discourage anyone DOH!.
  25. May I hope to never find such a disgusting thing in my tank(scary)
