I think it's a great idea to try and reach out to people and let them know we are here. Here is a poster for an event I sponsored on behalf of the club. On-line it looks small but on the poster you can read it.

I think it would be cool to do a found raiser and get an ad it a coral/fish magazine.

Anyone do graphic design/willing/know how to make a ad?

I won this chalice at the meeting at beth and kims house. I took the first picture on 1/18/11 and the second was taken today 2/16/11.

The hole was about the size of a dime. This seems like very very fast growth and a first for my tank. Fluke or just a fast grower?

Rick I went to a photo store today to get a diopter and they told me that a diopter goes on a eye piece to help change the focus. They told me what I wanted was a multiplier that is what cuts the focal length. Is this true

They are jpeg. Is the changes post or pre shot? I'm guessing post because I don't see a sharpness adj on my camera

The EOS 450D/xsi looks pretty similar to mine in features. How are you liking it so far?

I like being able to choose spot metering when shooting one coral and you can make the camera focus only on the center as well, if you wish. Not so handy shooting groups of people or full tanks, so don't forget to change it back. Like I do (:

Thanks for all the info. I'm going with a canon rebel xsi because of the memory card and price. I have a few cards and found a camera with lens for $400. I'll be getting a macro lens in the future I'm sure, I'll try to rent a few first thanks for the idea.
