  1. Sweet stuff. Got to say we are lucky to have all this awesome stuff out there for the picking.
  2. THANK YOU! When I came to this forum (and area) at the beginning of the year I would say it was one of the nicest thing about moving to the north west. Warm welcomes and very positive, and extremely helpful. The people I have met are what I consider good friends. I know it is easy it get carried away with things and lose "interest" in whats good for us/the forum. I can tell you that from now forward I will do my best to go to meeting ( one of my favorite things) and bring up and discuss hobby related issues/news/ideas on this forum.
  3. I used a smaller version in my build Has been working well, even with it being painted metal it is getting rust spots, also paint the wood with sealer as it gets wet and wavy.
  4. Found this place through american reef videos that I watch. Thought I would share. http://www.reefsystems.com/
  5. Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chalice!!!!!!!!!! Mine!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry just couldn't hold it in:) Cant wait to see how it looks under my sweet power compacts:D
  6. No-NO-NOOOOOOOO Never restrict your drain unless you have a backup one. If you run two(or one and one backup) you can restrict the flow to make a full siphon on one but never ever do it on a single drain you are just asking for a disaster. I second the drilling of the cap you can also just remove it till you get it drilled, should make a difference
  7. I call the one on the right:) J/K I'll take what i get and i'll like it(drooler)

  12. cheap heater heater with controller
  13. ESV salt here is a link to a video review. I see a problem like they said in the review if you spill something you are out that much salt mix, so you would have left overs of the other things you didn't spill. as of right now you can't buy them individually I thought get tanked was already mix for you so no worrying about wasting a lot of salt. link
  14. i'd like to get it today if you are around

    PICO MADNESS

looks good what kind of fish is that?
  19. I would say to start with a mag 9 would be way to much pump for that size tank/setup. A turn over of 3-5 times tank volume an hour is a good rule of thumb. I have a setup close to yours, 29g main tank with 10g sump with 192watts of power compact lighting. I loose about 3/4-1 1/2 inch of water a day in my sump and it has no cambers. I would at the least use the LR area for your return area too, and have a auto top off. Remove the first divider between LR and return. Leave the second one for a bubble trap. Other then that it looks really good, I'm working on a 20L for a sump on my tank too. Like what you have done.
  20. Update: I think it's been about two months and it hasn't given me one problem. I have to say again for the price I don't think you can beat it. ALOT of people have been writing code and customizing this controller. Seems to get cooler every day. Just got and email fron roberto (the maker) he said he should have the next shipment in by next week. I'll keep you posted.

Looks good, but I think you are going to run in to problems with the sand and rock. Most "betta"/"goldfish" bowls are bare bottom with plastic deco. I think the rock/sand will over time build up waste, or more time will have to be spent cleaning. The time spent cleaning the rock/sand may be worth the trade off in having a saltwater fish. The other problem I see is making 2.5gal of saltwater every day, is it worth the time? (for me yes, others maybe maybe not)
