I seem to remember having a glass cutting disaster in school if I could persuade a person of aptitude to cut it... I do like your plan jgf86123 wernt you planning an all in one frag tank with glass or acrylic?

From the description I can't tell if there is one or two pieces broken. If it's only one piece then it is probably worth repairing. If both front and back are broken then I would tear it apart and use the glass for something else.

yeah 1/2" glass we were pulling it out the back of the van and it droped about 6" onto the door catch

Thats too bad(sad), but like jgf86123 said that would make one cool shallow tank. Cut the one good side, and the ends in half and now you have a 70 gal shallow frag tank!!!

yep they look like dental floss for lack of a better discription but, I think I would have better luck fraging and selling all the stuff I pull out of my sump for example the "goofy in a row boat" from this morning I'm always finding new and exciting things in my tank but the sump always has the best (crayons, Dora, and once a fishing pole)

I picked up a 140g glass tank today. Unfortunatly the person helping me move it droped their end and ......... #@$% . The demintions of the tank were 72"L x 18"w x 25"d. My question is would it be worth my time/$ to replace the one front/back piece of glass and the upper plastic surround or should I smash the whole thing and recycle it?

Of course there is option 3 if anybody out there has a broken tank of the same demintions that either wants to give it up or wants mine

oh the tank is bare at the moment besides water, heater, filter. (no gravel, air stones, deco is in it but, I do have it all)

I have a 55g with stand, filter, no canopy though I use a hanging fixture above it with 2 6100k bulbs I have all the acc's for freashwater I think there could be a much better choice of color for the gravel (blue/white) I was gonna use it for solitary confinement and when I got some good lighting a frag tank so it has 55g of saltwater at the moment Its easier to find another tank than lighting so I would trade it for MH

yeah I'm sure it was cause a left a trap in my tank for 3 days with a lota food to catch a six-line, and I forgot to turn the sump back on when I fed them after I caught the six line untill late the next day, and then I forgot to turn the skimmer back on for 2 days after that.

I'm back on schedule now though and increased my WC from 7g/w to 10g/w, added a bag of cardon to sump, lights from 14hr on to 18hr on exp. cause I'm short a light at the moment, skimmer 24/7, feed fish everyother day, and added 6 asstd snails, 6 scarlet herms and, an emerald crab.

I went from 0% hair and cyno to 98% rock and sand corverage in less then 3 days its been about 10 days now since I started my retaliation and I'm down to 25%-30% coverage. all my newly uncoverd rock is a real pretty pastle purple and pink unlike before (bonus). I do have a spot that turn red with cyno. Not sure how to deal with that yet.

mine used to come out only at night but now its comes out all the time and from what I have seen I dont think it eats anything but algaes (maybe not encrusting). and most of my zoas/polyps and frogspawn/torch dont even react or close when being cleaned by him.

Here are some pics of my "Black Limpit". I had a sudden massive hair algae out break but its quickly comming under control. Mostly due to his appitite for it. Notice him/her cleaning the candy cane so gently and never even budges it even though hes bigger, its not sucured and he goes all over and around it. If anybody finds where to buy these guys please let me know.

So I found some more rock that I'm going to go pickup probably tomorrow. Any suggestions on how to get them to stay put?

I've once used and have seen others use zip ties somtimes you have to drill a small hole or two but, over time they (holes and ties) get covered and are no longer visable. It also makes it easy to change it if you want later.

VHO endcaps or has a single used one for sale. Last time I drove all over looking for one I finally found a used one at "kleen ur k9" but now I need another would like to stay in the $5-$10 I really need just the part with the metal contacts not the screw part. if you know who and a price I would appreciate it.

Its a bad pic but this rock is about 20" long, 15-16" tall, 4-6" thick and wieghs 75-80lbs its somewhat s shaped so it kinda wraps around the overflow
