  4. I recently down sized my tank and moved into a 34g cube well my female clown (false perc) seems to be very ripe and looks like she is going to blow up. The male is still glued to his torch coral even though it didnt like moving twice in one month (it lost two heads) but seems to be doing much better with the new T5 lights. The problem is that the female is trying to "host?" a orange zoa colony and a feather duster. Is there anything I should/could do to get her to go home or lay her eggs somewhere?

  5. I have a 55g TruVue acrylic aquarium (48"L x 13"W x 20"H) comes with the stock 40w hood and light (needs new 36" bulb) and crushed coral. I also have a Workhorse 7 ballast with 1x 46.5" Super Actinic 110w VHO (white, about 3 months old at 8hrs a day) and 1x 48" Actinic 03 110w VHO (blue/purple, about 2 weeks old) also comes with brand new waterproof endcaps and standoffs.

    asking $120 O.B.O

    VHO's not pictured

  6. I just sold him (Eric) my 72g bow and got nice T5 lighting to boot he also came all the way out to Skamokawa, WA from Hillsboro which is a bit over 160 mile round trip. I got what I was asking for and more Including new extra bulbs for the new light that had new bulbs. He is just starting up. He is not a non-profit yet but, that is his goal and I plan on doing more buisness with him in the future.

  7. I have moved my 72g into my 34g and started to use Kent Nano-Reef part A & B Hopfully so I dont have to use as many chems. By reading what I thought were the directions instead it was the other side of the bottle "use and interaction" I thought I was supposed to use each in equal amounts once a day today was the first time I used it. I waited about an hour and tested the water and my Alk is 12-14kh on one test 3.6ppml on another and 300+ ppm on another is that high and how do I get an average of these three tests and if its high how do I bring it down?

  8. I got the rock that I wanted out and I would like to take my tank down. I have at least 60lbs (wife got mad at the scale and threw it out) but there are to pieces about 25lbs and several 10lbs'ers then some rubble and shells. asking $120 for my left over rocks.

  9. So I got bored waiting to sell my tank and started to move a few peices of rock w/o sensitive corals too the new tank. I now see that it will not all fit. I'm trying to fit this

    DSC02184.jpg

    into this

    DSC02183.jpg

and as you can see I have only moved three pieces and there not even the big ones and the tank is already an eighth full. I would like to get about $3/lbs but the catch is that I need lighting on my new tank but that wont happen till I sell my old tank. but as long as it has been taking I thought I better get a headstart and make a list of anybody if anybody wants some.

  10. but I hate to wear socks! I mean I get too lazy to change them. yeah I was going to have it expell under the water line near the bottom but I ran out of 90 deg. elbows and money. The part that is really loud is the stand pipe cap on, cap off, small hole in cap, big hole in cap still very loud.

  11. This is the tank I got to replace my 72g. When we moved from our 1700sq ft. rental to this smaller 730sq ft. home that we are buying. My large 72g seemed just too big and overbearing. So, when my mother said she did'nt want to deal with plumbing the 33g she had just bought at an auction (for $26 with stand, sump, built-in-overflow, skimmer and return pump) and was gonna put it up for sale for $100 I jumped on it. All I need to get is some lighting. Mom did forget to bring me the skimmer and return pump but, I had a spare pump and I like my CPR skimmer to much not to put it on the 33g.

    Demintions are 24"L x 18"D x 18"T almost a cube but not quite

    DSC02175.jpg

I think the sump is 10g not sure though

    DSC02176.jpg

has a nice refrium area upfront and I like how its plumbed (I think I did it right.) However its a lot louder then my nearly silent 72g (sounds like a indoor waterfall) I took off the cap on the stand pipe and put some floss media in its place and it got a little quiter but not much. Any ideas? I'm sure where the overflow drains into the ref will quite down once I put macro in there.

and heres a crappy pic of the back of tank and one of back of sump

  12. I have a 55g TruVue (48"x13"x20")with original hood not drilled has scrape in one spot were it bumped wall when moving (note above mounded substrate in center of pic). I have crushed coral substrate if you want it too. (lots more then whats in the tank, just got lazy and did'nt finish putting it in.) (also the ghettofied lighting not included the bulb in original hood is burnt so I put some 15W bulbs in a 40w fixture so I could see what I was doing)

    $60 O.B.O
