  1. What browser and version of browser are you using? Also if you haven't rebooted your computer in the last week try restarting it and see if you can make it happen again.
  2. As stated before hitting the reload button will only make the issue worse by adding to the load on the server. I would clear your browser cache, turn off any firewall software on your desktop/laptop (IF you are already running a hardware firewall such as a wireless access point Linksys, Netgear, Etc.) and see if the issue improves.
  3. Still good Michael? Others how is it looking?
  4. It's a test - working on an idea I had. Can you do a traceroute and post that result also? Thanks.
  5. People experiencing issues please ping this address 67.23.230.21 and post results
  6. I would check and see what platform works best with the books/classes your school offers. The bookstore should have some input on that for you. I have an iPad and I find it very easy to read - most of my material is in ePub or PDF format.
  7. JR can you do a traceroute (mac) or tracert (windows) to pnwmas.org and post results for me? Thanks.
  8. Are you running a software firewall on your desktop or laptop? What anti-virus software are you running?
  9. After losing the big yellow head I cut back on my feedings and I got a bristleworm trap and use it every few nights - caught a couple that were 2 inches all curled up. I'll keep at it and maybe try the cheesecloth trap too. I wonder if the goby was sleeping under one of my rocks where there is a cavity and he likes to hide and maybe the bristleworm got him. Also lost a Helfrich to the little c8cksuckers and that's when the gloves came off.
  10. I've had a yellow head Goby and a cleaner shrimp disappear in the last month. I've also notice many bristle worms poking their heads out when I feed. Is it possible for a bristle worm to take out a goby or cleaner shrimp? Both of them were 3-4" long or is it more likely they croaked and got cleaned up fast? I checked for fish jerky and didn't find anything.
  11. Xray & Kim/Beth (or any others still seeing slowness)- Can I get you to post a fresh set of traceroute results? Thanks.
  12. Sorry I should have clarified that I didn't think the firewall on/off was the issue in our case but just wanted to take that out of the loop/chain while troubleshooting this issue. Also might help eliminate any future issue some might run into with their home networks. Thanks.
  13. By default it has a firewall turned on and running so unless you've disabled that manually you are safe to turn the firewall on your laptop off.
  14. Believe me when I say that no one wants this thread to become history more than me. Currently our trouble ticket has reached the senior admin with our provider.
  15. I wanted to make sure you were not using a cable modem that had a firewall built-in (doesn't look like it) and then using a wireless router with a firewall (pretty sure yours does - on the bottom does the label say WRT54G?) which can cause issues. If your wireless router has a firewall built-in then your firewall on your laptop is not needed - double firewalls does not double your protection it only doubles the number of points were you need a correct configuration. I don't run any firewall on my home computers except for my main router connected to my cable modem. If you are connecting to a public WiFi spot then, yes, turning on the firewall is a good idea.
  16. Technically we use vpslatch.com and I imagine they co-locate with Hostdime or share rackspace.
  17. XRay- Can you ping other sites google.com without packets timing out?
  18. Yes that packet loss is exactly what's causing your 'slowness'. Refreshing actually might make the issue worse because it puts a heavier load on the site to respond to multiple requests from a single user.
  19. XRay- Looks like you are running Windows7 and probably need to enable telnet first: http://www.blogsdna.com/4052/how-to-install-microsoft-telnet-client-on-windows-7.htm
  20. ping pnwmas.org? ping google.com? tracert pnwmas.org?
  21. BTW - Is anyone else seeing slowness right now - 11:13pm - I'm humming along and just wanted to make sure the issue didn't go away suddenly.
  22. Kim/Beth- Please try these two commands and post results: 1) telnet pnwmas.org 25 2) ping 67.23.230.30 The first one you will probably have to let it timeout but post what you first get when/if it connects. Thanks.
