Are yoi transitioning from a large tank to a huge tank...or are you just diving right in to a 1k!?!? Why not? There are plenty of ways to do it cheaper, especially if you have skills. I have no skills.

The bulb configuration is really a preference thing...your configuration will work, i personally like mostly blues, and maybe one purple and one daylight.

On the 2 that are wired separate, mine come on 2 hours early and go off 2 hours later than the rest. On those two, i have blue bulbs, and the tank looks amazing under the low blue light....and that is typically the time i get to see the tank...the entire 8 bulbs run while i'm at work.

I've had a blank blue screen apex for 7 months! When i fix that, i'll be sure to back it up

I have found an Ace hardware in tualatin carry these...but many hardware stores will turn their head about 45 degrees and their face and eyes will gloss with confusion.
