    Any Regrets Taking a Break From Reef Keeping?

    It is good and bad...for lots of reasons...many stated above.

     

    It is also inevitable.

     

    That being said, I guess I like to end a tank on good terms rather than bad...if possible:)

     

    Most of my tanks make it with me for maybe like 3-7 years. And pretty much all of my previous tanks i adopted out a huge amount of livestock....a little painful yes, but at least you can find really good tanks for these creatures so far from their native homes.

     

     

    Life happens.

    Rocking the chaeto! Cool light, cool build, keep it up. What did you secure your aquascape with? Cheers, following.

     

    Super cool scape too! That one on the left is like some demented christmas tree.

     

    I have some of that tonga rock in one of my tanks too! looks cool , but a pia for sure when it comes to adding frags...especially corals that like to spread out. Oh well, rack it up as another reefer concern hahaha.

    How much for the possum wrasse? I want the fruit loops but I can't keep zoa's alive, everything else does great just not zoa's.

    Fish flakes suck, I am with you there! And these days it goes both ways...have had sellers ghost me...which is so odd...u wanna sell your crap or what?

     

    And if it’s not for sale...take the ad down and don’t waste everyone’s time!

     

    That being said, this community is overall pretty solid, especially when comparing to other similar setups like letgo and craigslist.

    Back Up Pump FTW

    Why is it that pumps so frequently go out during a routine maintenance job..:had this happen so many times. Makes me leery everytime my pumps shutoff...

    So yeah, having backups is always a good idea...though we are super lucky to live where we do...so many lfs carry good quality pumps of all shapes and sizes.
