  1. I am no expert but my friend is a dog trainer of 12 years and taught me a few things. Crate training is great and not inhumane in the least despite how it seems to us. When I trained the dog I have now I clipped a fishing bell to the molding of the door near the ground and every time we went out I would ring it, eventually he learned that the bell meant outside and he started ringing it himself. At night he slept in our bed because he was lonely and because he wouldn't potty on the bed and since the bed was so tall he couldn't get down to go anywhere else so he would wine at the edge of the bed and we would know to let him down.

Watch him close and take him out every couple hours or when it looks like he needs to go and congratulate him when he does and they learn very quickly. The most important thing I can tell you though is never call a dog to you for punishment because they will stop coming to you or associate it with being in trouble and stay away from the whole bad dog thing and of course hitting. I use a low throat noise and say ahhhhhhh for everything wrong he does and he knows. Dogs do learn words but mostly understand tone, so a high pitched happy voice is good and a low throaty noise is bad. Stick to that an you should be well on your way in no time.

    Hope it helps.

  2. +1 with andy's suggestion. Replace the pipe/hose and put a new seal under that bulkhead while your at it, should all be pretty easy to do and relatively cheap. Best of luck, post up some pics of it if you need some online back seat driver advice.(laugh)

  3. Well it wasn't really a rush out the door, she had been having contractions all day yesterday and much worse and closer ones today. So I thought I would throw it up before I left, I know it does look like my priorities are in the wrong place though. (whistle)

As far as short and painless, it does not seem like it is going to be either one of those, not to sound insensitive but I am sure glad I am a man.(yahoo)

  4. I don't mind at all. The more I get the more leverage I have to get the price down.

Well we all know just how serious you can get with these group buys, last time you ended up with enough sand to start a small island hanging out outside your garage, ha ha. Sounds good, just keep me posted and thanks :)

  5. Does it need to be acrylic? I'm going to be getting a quote on the glass to build one in the next day or two and could easily build a second one at the same time. I'll be checking cost for both normal glass and starphire.

Would you mind getting me a quote? I have been considering this for some time.

  6. Mine is the initial of my first name "n" (Nick) and then my last name (Newhouse). Umm' date=' yup. . . . that's about it, functional.[/quote']

I just assumed you had a typing imp.......imp.........impediment. Mine is usually evallded cause of my favorite movie "Evil Dead" but it is usually taken everywhere so I respelled it. My name now is since I farm coral and live in the N.W.

  7. I believe it is a little tricky, and needs a small gap between the pieces of glass for a full re silicone job. Ask Rick here ( I believe that is his username too) I know he has done it successfully at least a few times.

  8. As Gabe mentioned a 2x4 would work, you could even use some sort of finished wood for a cleaner yet look. Buy a stud finder or knock on the ceiling until you hear it and then throw in a screw, you will know when you hit/miss one. Then just get a couple of eye bolts.
