  1. I need to get a custom steel stand made.

42 by 36 and 30 high box, using 1x1 rectangular steel tubing.

It is for a 36 by 36 tank, so it needs an extra tube on top to support the edge of the tank (at 36").

I plan to have it powder-coated when it is done, so I need all welds ground smooth.

I PM'd pnkrcklives but haven't heard back from him.

Please let me know if you know anybody that can do this work accurately and for a decent price.

  2. I think it would be cheaper to rent a jack to jack up the joist just a little next to the support point (on a pad) and then insert a post on a pad cut to the right length on your joist support point. You can also insert a thin piece of material between the post and joist to take up any inaccuracies in the post length. Then when you let the jack down, the joist will rest on the post.

  3. I want to change the overflow on a tank. It currently has a small corner overflow and I would like to have a larger one. I can remove the corner overflow and block the hole, but then what are my options?

Do I have to route out comb slot in the back wall and add a long box? What would you recommend?
