  1. I always try to send people I meet interested in saltwater to the site. I think word of mouth still works best Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  2. sorry, I no longer have it. traded it in over the weekend Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  3. thanks. good to know. our tank usually sits at 77.9 and gets to 79 before the lights go back off during the day. I was just worried the tank would keep dropping. wanted to know when to worry. Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  4. just checked the temp again. stopped going down. up to 75.1 now. hopefully ill be ok. Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  5. So I decided to check out the tank tonight and looked at the controller. The tanks at 74.5 degrees. Tested the temp with another thermometer to make sure it was correct. It is. Also checked to make sure the plug on the controller is working. And it is. How low can the temp go at night and still be ok? Right now I have a 100 or 150w heater in the sump. Its what i use for water changes. Its about 250 gallons of water once you figure in the rock and sand. I ran to Fred Meyer before they closed and picked up two 100w heaters just in case the temp goes lower with the one heater in it. I also turned up the heat a little bit in the basement (where the tank is). Stupid 800w titanium heater!!!! Other ideas on what to do?
  6. great skimmers. I'm running the swc 200 on our tank. love it. Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  7. I've had both and only think they are fair. I think the best local burger is killer burger in Portland and comes with unlimited fries. Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  8. Here is a link to one CLICK HERE You pretty much just change out the magnet for one from a maxijet 1200 and add a different impeller
  9. Has anyone else modded a Hydor K4? Ive had the parts to do my own mod but just now got around to doing them. All I can say is wow. Its at least doubled the flow. They are a little louder now and harder to start, but still worth it. I wanted to add more flow to my 240g cube so I added my 2 extra k4s I had laying around. Then I remember I had the parts to mod them. So I went from 3600gph closed loop, to 3600 + 1200gph x2 (6000gph), and now I have 3600 + probably 2500gph x2 (8600gph). Not bad flow for running cheap powerheads.
  10. I'm a big fan of MH. Like what was said. You could do a single 250w MH with a good reflector and you could keep anything you wanted and not need to upgrade later. I find it cheaper to run MH over T5s if you factor in bulb changes. I know I would get better results with a better MH bulb but Ive been happy running my cheap ones. If you hang the light high enough over the tank you shouldnt have heat problems. I'm running 5 over my system. 1 over a 20" cube and 4 over a 240 cube all hooked to the same sump and my tank never gets above 79 degrees without a chiller. And my heater runs at night.
  11. welcome to the site. my wife is from Pasco and still has family there. we try to head up every once in a while. maybe we could trade sometime or maybe I could run corals for you. Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  12. Also might be caused by a flow issue. Does it have a lot of flow through those areas?
  13. probably if it was in Longview. house with a steep driveway? hope everything is still doing ok. Sent from my HERO200 using Tapatalk
  14. I use marble serpentine tiles from Lowes or home depot. I get the white ones when on clearance. All you have to do is pull off the mesh backing and give them a rinse. If you've ever seen any of my frags, thats what all of them are on. Everything encrusts onto them nicely and the parts that dont get covered color up nicely. Or if you want T or plug style frags I say hit up Mr. S for some of the TFT student made frags.
  15. Think I fixed the Photo link Interested in a trade? Could you send a photo?
  16. Dont think Im looking to trade corals on this one. But I will trade. Old cool car, newer truck, any VW, or a daily driver plus cash? Just can't really use a boat , motorcycle, or camper. But for trades, just realize that I sold my Evo 8 a few years ago to buy and fund this project and all the money went into it plus some.
  17. Going to use the money and try automatic water changes and dosing as needed I think. Still haven't really gotten into many hard corals yet either.

Spare B20 Block good for rebuild Car only weighs around 1300 lbs. Spun a bearing on a drive. Checked and flushed everything and installed the new B20 block. Everything is wired up and it turns over easy. Runs and Idles great. Will probably need a new tune. Found a shop in portland that will do a full dyno tune for relatively cheap. Pretty much everything is new or rebuilt. This is one of the only turbo ones that I know of. Should be around 250hp with low boost. Also have ITBs if you want to change the intake to individual throttle bodies. Thats what it started with. Was going to use for autocross, but health forces sale. More Pics. Some older and some newer ones Front and fender flares have been sanded and repainted. http://s970.photobucket.com/albums/ae189/Daniel-alyssa-car/Mini/ Pics with the front end not painted, show fitment as I havent taken a pic with the freshly painted font back on. You're welcome to come check the car out. You wont be disappointed. Car Needs: Plug on block removed and hooked up to oil catch/breather (can probably get it out with an easy out. I just can't do it, but I did get the other one out. I forgot to take them out before I installed the new block) New Dyno Tune or street tune if you know a good tuner Gauges hooked up (have been using a computer with the hondata for gauges since havent hooked up all the guages in the dash again yet. Will include the Laptop if wanted) Front end and trunk put back on. (Took the "quick connect screws" off to paint the front. They just need to be crimped back on. The rest of the front end is put back together IE headlights, grill, bumper,etc... Haven't touched the car again since the ER visit. Took the trunk off and took it to the pain shop so they could match the paint color for the front. Just needs to be bolted back in.) Asking $16,000 Just dropped from $18,000 locally Will consider trades or partial trades plus cash, but needs to be running and driving as I can't work on them anymore. Don't really get to drive anymore either. Would love a 1950's or older kustom cruiser so the wife and I could take it to cruise ins, newer truck, Moke or....?
