is the 180 still up for grabs? how much of it is starfire? how much do you want?

i googled them they are not expensive. has anyone used these before?

so these must be single ended bulbs?

i take it no clown triggers or tangs?

a good rule of thumb is around 1# of live rock per gallon, cube might be different, but i have a 6'x2'x2' tank, (180 gallons), i have a least 150# pounds of rock. so more rock would not hurt, that is a big part of filtration. with copper power, which is what i am using for my qt tankyou only need a ounce per 20 gallons. i have a ten gallon tank you can use, will give you an ounce of copper, if you have not got that far yet.

how old are the bulbs? how long have you had it?if i buy used,i do not like to pay more than 1\2 of retail.

this is my storage water/top off set up

i figured since i paid my dues, may as well show why. this is my 2nd 180, because my first 1 broke. my sump is in the garage. the top sump on the shelf is for my ro\di water. the filter is right by the washing machiine, so i pump the waste water in there. works good, since i make up 10 gallons at a time, it fills washer for a load. laffin the bottom sump on the shelf is for my top off water, it drains into the sump with a float valve. i drain ro water into a 5 gallon bucket, make salt or top off water, which ever i need, then pump top off water in to the bottom sump

so in a 10, i will need to do a 1 gallon a week water change, since there really is no filter ?

i am running a qt tank with copper power, does charcoal remove it from the water? thought i would need some since sand or rock would just die off from the copper ?

that was my thought. lfs just tried to cut mine down, it shattered like window glass when a rock goes thru it, was pretty brittle

yeah, empty the tank, glue a scrap piece of acrylic to the leak at the crack, so the crack is covered. you will need to use acrylic cement, not just silicone, to make sure it is a strong bond. will need to wait 24 hours before you put it back together. what size tank is it?

i have a 100 gallon in my garage, with about 60 gallons of water, & a 250 watt halide over it. works great. garage is not heated, so have 1-300 watt &1 200 watt heater in it

has anyone played around with a homemade controller for the koralia's or tunze 12volt powerheads?

like it says, used 1 time. $35 or might trade for a fish. i also have 2009. $15

aptasia x works for me. the aptasia thinks it is food, as long as it feels the food before the syringe, it will not shrink up. makes it easier to cover the whole pest

try it again after if dries thouroughly. it is the gfi's job to trip as soon as it detects moisture, does not take much either.

My wife used it for several years on her fowlr tank. I've heard same with alk for reefs. In sandiego they have hose bibs on the peirs' date=' you just fill up containers for free![/quote']

 

someone told me the seattle aquairium has kiosks where you can fill your jugs with the same water they use for their aquariums, being right on the bay like they are. i would not think it would be free.

that is cool, i just want to make sure i am paid till december. i do not understand why there needs to be 2 prorated sections per option,, when you could put the whole year in 1 option. let each month prorate from Jan-Dec, instead of jan-june, then july-dec.

so i just paid for my club membership, from march til december, ( i thought), but the notice from paypal said it was from jan-june? how does that work?

i just fill the tank with water, it disappears and/or settles, does not hurt anything. btw, how much are memberships for the club on a yearly basis? i saw the page on a per month basis, was wondering what the yearly cost is, thx
