  1. 3.5 hp, accepts up to 1 1\2" limbs, shredder hopper. Extra set of blades, manual, new starter rope assembly. works good, too small for the new house. first time start., unless it is the dead of winter, when the oil is too thick. can send pics, did not feel like resizing them right now. $175

  2. WTH, how many am I supposed to get when I have like 8-10 aptasia in 400 gallons, they will starve looking for the next meal-(flame)

I want the few I have gone but am afraid to buy to few, and then also buying to many they die from hunger-

    Dilemmas, dilemmas-DOH!

aptasia x worked for me. had some here & there been aptasia free for 2 years

  3. But in essence the micro switch directly controls the temperature when smoking. The traegers are designed to run between 160-180 degrees when set to smoke.

Exactly , I guess I am saying the temp is not controlled by the number settings, but by the switch.

  4. The digital thermostat most definately DOES control the smoke function. There is an adjustable setting in the controller that sets the time on and off for the auger when it is smoking.

not on mine, the micro switch runs the smoke. Each setting shuts the auger off 10 seconds different than the other. The thermostat has nothing to with smoke, quoting traeger

  5. I'm sorry to hear that he is not doing well... He is not on the forum much because it is difficult for him to post due to his disabilities. Get well soon Woody if you are reading this... I hope you get in touch with him. I thought I had his cell number at some point but I don't have it anymore.

I was in there a week ago, he is out of the hospital, but barely. his wheelchair tire went flat, & he ended up with a sore, now he is looking at skin grafts on his leg when he is well enuff to handle it. sometimes he is in the shop for half a day, gets wore out.

  6. That's interesting' date=' I have a digital controller on the one I just got. Seems to me the temp is controlled by what you have it at and the inside temp. Once mine reaches temp I desire it only fluctuates by a few degrees.[/quote']

I called Traeger just for my own info, the thermostat controls all the number settings. It does not control the smoke function, which set by the micro switch. It does not control the Hi function, since the auger runs all the time. there is a 20 deg difference (higher & lower, 10 degrees each way)between what i have it set at & what it goes to. they said that is the norm. oh well

  7. i got my digital control going yesterday. i am guessing it does not work like a conventional thermostat, in that the thermostat does not control the temperature. the thermostat tells you what the temp is inside. the heat is controlled by the knob on the front, which controls the amount of time the auger runs. once you install it, you need to calibrate it, by press a microswitch until the thermostat reads the temp you have it set for. like i said, it is a guess on my part. unless the knob controls the speed of the auger, according to the temp, if the temp is cooler, the auger speeds up, if it is cooler, the auger slows down. any thoughts?

  8. Hi, I need to find a new home for my amazon parrot. Like others "hates" me. Sings, talks and was raised in a busy home.

If you know anyone that could help drop me a note.

    Thamks Beckie

So what kind of amazon parrot is it? Thx
