  1. 250 ballasts and reflectors gone. I still have the 400 reflector.
  2. imho the engineer gobies can be mighty destructive and will topple rockwork. Depending on the size of the horseshoe they can knock over corals and such. The sandsifting stars aren't bad but they have a habit of sifting the sand so clean there is nothing left. If it were my tank I would lean towards a diamond goby. They are less destructive and have a good survival rate.
  3. I have a Koralia 2 that has about 6 months of use that I would like to trade for a Koralia nano. Doug
  4. I have a branching hammer coral that has 10+ head and lots of Baby heads. It is about as big around as the palm of your hand. It is not the standard green and pink but more a green and metallic silver. It is just getting too big for my new tank. I would like to trade it for sps. I really like cool millis and encrusting montis. Let me know what you have if your interested. Doug
  5. Thanks for the great trade today. The corals are looking great. Doug
  6. Hey Mick Thanks for the light. It is over my tank and my corals already look happier. Doug
  7. I let everything grow together but some prefer to separate things. I think it is just a preference thing.
  8. Hey Bob, Thanks for the nice late night frags. They are all in the tank and looking good. Doug
  9. That is pretty sweet. I always thought I would like to have a coldwater setup. Maybe someday.
  10. Cool see you at the Xmas party. Doug
  11. I don't have paypal can I pay you at the Xmas party when I pick them up?
  12. Where are you located at I would like one of the 3 polyp frags. Doug
  13. Ya he had a pretty busy last few Months. His wife had some Medical issues and his son left for college but I am pretty sure he is back into the swing of things. He has a nice shop set up in his garage an is now looking for another space.
  14. Ya I am pretty excited with the smaller tank and my new L shaped stand project. I have enlisted the help of Dave from Davy Jones Locker to build the stand, new tank and sump. The new tank in the picture is one of his builds and it seems really nice.
  15. I have never had a hermit crab damage anything except my snail population but maybe I am just lucky.
  16. As I am downsizing I need to get rid of some of the extras I had for the big tank. I have for sale: Two 250 watt sunlight supply ballasts and reflectors with mogul bases. The ballasts are older but work great. The reflectors are just standard reflectors. Everything has chords and just needs bulbs to be up and running. I just noticed today that they ballasts say hqi on them but I have been running single Enders on them forever as did the person who had them before me. The model number on these is BW-3 MH 250 HQI. Anyway I have no idea what to price these at but I will guess at 70.00 a set or 125.00 for both sets. I also have a 400 watt reflector with mogul base no chord I guess 20.00 for it. Pm me if your interested Doug
  17. Don't get the large very brightly colorered ones.... I think these might be the males. My experience has been pretty bad with them also. The smaller, less colorful ones ( maybe females) seem to be very hardy and I have had really good luck with them.
  18. I pm'd you back about the reflector.
  19. That is totally where I am at. I thought it would be nice to have two or three super nice tanks than one large mediocre one. Plus my wife will appreciate the added space more.
  20. So I have downsized my tank and I have a nice little 30 gallon set up. It is kind of temporary. My plan is to have a another 30 gallon built and put them both on an L shaped stand in the corner with a shared sump, refugium and making one if them a reef tank and one an angler tank.
  21. I like the six line too they are just a little more territorial and ornery than the Melanurus. Cheaper though. The copperbands are awesome looking fish.
