  1. If your going to buy a new BBQ just buy a natural gas one. The holes in the burners are larger for natural gas versus propane. Just remember that you can't use propane on the natural gas grill unless you switch out the burners. If your going to stay at your place for awhile it is probably worth it. I myself have a natural gas grill and i use an adjustable regulator on it and run propane. Works very nice and only cost me $15 for the regulator,(got the grill for free)

    Acrylic...

get yourself the number 2 novus polish. quite a few people sell it online. if ya happen to come up I-5 in the near future Tap Plastics carries it. they are just down the street from Waves just off the freeway. I just got done refinishing my 155 with their products and it worked wonders. Just take your time and it will be worth it.
  6. World of Wet Pets is a good close one. If ya don't mind driving I would recommend The Wet Spot in Portland. They have a great selection. When I had my freshwater tank up I would buy from them because of the selection they had. Good prices too.
  7. sent mine and my wife is sending one also.
  8. Looks like ya got yourself an MMA fighter in training. Very cute pics, Enjoy them why they are small next thing ya know they will be in their teens. Where does the time go.
  9. thanks, i will be getting ahold of joel when i'm ready to add sand. i'll need like 200lbs so its a great deal.
  10. nice, i have been looking all over the internet for that sand. How much was it if ya don't mind.
  11. what kind of sand are you putting in it?
  12. Thanks dsoz but i cant make it to the coast this weekend. I will stop in tomorrow and see ya lowman. My wife works down on 122nd so ill stop and have lunch with her while im at it.
  13. (help)I am looking to drill my 55 to convert it into a sump. I can't see spending $20 or more for one hole. Is there anyone close to Cornelius that can help me on this. The hole needs to be 1 3/4" for a 1" bulkhead.
  14. Thats awesome man. What kind of "play sand" are you using?
  15. I would love to buy the lights and some of the live rock. Let me talk to the wife tomorrow and i will get back to you ASAP.
  16. Couldn't you just recycle the waste water back through the system? I was thinking of building a system with holding tanks for the water and use a pump to run it through the RO/DI unit and have the waste water return to the holding tanks then it would continue to run through the system and not waste as much water. You could then just fill the holding tanks with a few gallons of water, depending on use and size of holding tanks, maybe once a week.
  17. What type of cichlid is it? I just gave away 2 breeding pairs of Jewels to a guy plus 15 from one of the pairs i had. They were spawning like crazy, then of course they would get eaten.
  18. After my experience I wouldn't suggest it. It will cloud up the water and i don't think it would be good for the animals in the tank.
  19. wow, i had no idea ithey even had waste water. i thought it just forced the water thru it and then you change the filters. glad i asked about that one. I'm thinking the ZERO waste thing sounds good. My water bill is already around $100. a month and thats without my tank running. As far as units go(to get back to the original question) i found this one at http://www.melevsreef.com/rodi.html Looks like a good deal from what i've seen at other places.
  20. the novus polish worked great. You can get it a TAP plastics in tigard(by the home depot on I-5). For fine scratches just get the NO.2 polish. they also sell some non-scratching cloths for $1.75. good investment so ya don't scratch your aquariums.
  21. Okay about how much waste water are you guys talking about?
  22. GOT IT DONE!!!! (clap) I finished polishing and buffing my aquarium today. I have to say the results are quite spectacular. It took about 8 hours over 2 days to get it done but it came out great. The pics i took are not great but in person the change is quite recognizable. The big scratch on the upper left side is gone and so is the huge hazy spot that was right in the middle. Now i can't wait to get it back up and get it full of stuff but that is still a while off(sad). I would say if you have a nice Acrylic tank of find a really good deal on one that is all banged up taking the time to polish the scratches is worth it. Way cheaper then buying a new aquarium. sanded with 1000, 1500, 200, 2500 grit The inside was not done at this point but you can see how the novus polish got rid of the sanding marks.
  23. I love me some home style coking, So i'd have to say that Black Brear Diner in beverton is my fave. Also if ya want some great Mexican food try Jalapenos next to Bi-mart in Hillsboro. The only place i will go any more for Mexican food.
