  1. I use a Aquamedic T5 Metal halide combo light. The bulb is a 250 watt Phoenix 14k(classic). And 2x ati blue plus T5 tubes.

I'm trying not to be negative about this new web format but it is hard to get used to...

  2. All of your corals have such good growth in addition to the colors really popping, outstanding. This thread has a few acros on my wish list one of wich is the leprechaun beard, glad you let it stay the course, looks great.

One question for you,did you acquire most of your stock locally or did it take a number of shipments?

The only shipment was a large 10 pack from Battle corals. There was a shipping error and it was held overnight so he resent the order again with some extras (sky parade and pink flamingos)

This is a link to the pack, I already had west side tort and pro corals rainbow so I swapped for different.

I got a pack of classics from Brad (TEC sky blue, red planet ect) which are doing great.

A bunch of assorted bad *** frags from Cuttlefish including the sanjays bearded gnome and a large piece of Icefire.

And a few pieces from Upscales including the sweet Soatas Blue tip and a mystery rainbow milli I need to post update pics of.

  3. Looking good.... Love that Soatas Blue Tip Table Acro.
love it too, its form gets better every month.

How does your Rainbows in Spain look? I also have that coral and in my tank it grows quickly but seems to be one of those Acros that browns out as soon as somethings amiss...It'll look great but as soon as I get busy and skip a water change or my Alk gets low' date=' etc. its the first thing to brown out.[/quote']

I've had the opposite experience with this one. It has never browned on me, grows like a weed and seems to be really hardy. It's the first BC I've fragged so far. The BC Pink Flamingo on the other hand has been a pain, very sensitive.

Spain thingy looking great for me and it's one of a quick grow SPS ( seem like it). High or low light' date=' easy coral.[/quote'].

Fully agree, haven't forgotten about Ice fire BTW :)

jaw.gif Beautiful corals (drooler) Good camera too :)

Thanks! Just my iPhone though. Cracked my screen the other day........iPhone 6 pics coming soon(naughty)

    Awesome! and that's sanjay's leprechaun beard :)

Thanks! That piece was 99% dead and bleached after I got it because it got knocked over into the torch over night, I was going to through it away(literally one polyup left) glad I didn't. (clap)

Looking amazing! Are you sure that BC sky parade isn't a piece you got from me. They look identical and I know you got one that looks like it from me. Just curious.

That is the BC Sky Parade for sure. I know exactly the piece you are talking about and I'm curious to see how they compare when they grow out.

  4. Just a few progress pics. Here's a pic of my tank when I started it in May.

  5. I'll post some other pictures of the other BC pics for sure. The old tank went through every challenge an sps tank can go through but I guess that's why this one has done so well, I've learned from mistakes. :)

  6. Not the best picture but this piece I've been growing continues to amaze me. Maybe my new favorite. This was a substitution from battlecorals. He calls it "Hatfields". Really thin delicate branches, great green and purples and surprisingly large polups when it's hungrey.

  7. Havnt been on the site in awhile, I was going to update my tank thread but it looks like it's all been erased...(flame)(flame)(flame)(flame)(flame)(flame). Oh well

Here's a top down, everything is growing like a weed and looks great.

  8. Congratz! So now what? you'll have to setup a new tank to use them up (whistle)

Always thinking about a new tank, but i have to say im really loving mine right now.

Patrick said he would give me half the value in store credit which comes to 50 something dollars, very cool.

Really glad im making my own water, i cant stand lugging jugs back and forth, what a pain.(nono)

  9. I just thought I would share this because I thought it was funny. I bought some raffle tickets for the saltwater fantaseas drawing. I was hoping to win the Kessil led pendant but enstead I won 3 times for the 20 count water fill ups. So I've got 60 water fill ups now and I make my our RO/DI at home. (laugh) depending on the tank size that could be years of fresh water. Anyone else win?
