isn't the pH supposed to be 8.3-8.5 and the alk like 9-10?

how long did it take for yours to clear up?

well i just put my LR in and sand..im not the best at aquascaping but i was able to make an atoll like i planned it looks pretty good imo..but my pH is low at only 8 and my alk is only 8.4 dKH(or whatever the units are lol)

im going to get some filter floss at wal mart... Mad, what kind of macros do you have? doesn't chateo not go sexual?

tank is still available...

what about phosban instead of chemi pure?

but dont you risk introducing more nitrates because you cant just toss the filter floss you are just washing the sponge?

yup i can't wait ..i will post a thread in the members tanks section too more questions... 1) those of you that have a solana, do you keep the top baffle on above the fuge? 2) and where do you put filter floss? above the fuge? because im thinking about keeping the top baffle/drip tray so i can put some filter floss on top of it. Im not sure where to put the chemi pure because if you put it on top so that the chemi pure takes out some nutrients in the water before it goes into the fuge, wont the chateo not get enough nutrients? so should I put the chemi pure in the return chamber instead?

well the pumps will be on the top but both pointed towards the middle

i heard that your supposed to add the rock first then sand so that the rock can't settle to the bottom if sand dwellers disturb the sand beneath them but don't the rocks get covered in sand from the sandstorm?

im looking for some new or slightly used seachem or salifert(or not sure on spelling) calcium, phosphate, Magnesium and Iodine test kits. also maybe a used Pinpoint Ca or Nitrate monitor too..PM with prices and info

well the return pump has more flow than a MJ1200 but im just worried about the heat. im not sure how much wattage the stock pump has(it doesn't say) but the MJ doesn't have much. yeah i will be using a K1 and a tunze 6045, with a total of 1900g/h so 58x the tank volume

i can take some of the stand but i cant really get a good pic of the back..or do you mean a pic of the compartments?

should i replace the stock pump with a MJ1200 or is there a higher flow pump that would work too? can i use the tubing that came with the stock pump with an MJ1200?
