ok thanks alot everyone!! i think ive made up my mind..im going with the solana ..here are the mods i wanna do: 1) swap out the stock return pump with a MJ1200 2) use my bak pak skimmer instead of stock 3) add a K1 4) add a HOB fuge

does it come with a glass top? and ive seen people with eggcrate tops but whats the point when they are open so they still would evaporate alot

but aren't all the AIO's using a black background? yeah they looked like they were a good size

yeah but it might be kind of a tight squeeze if i had to do any maintenance..i kinda like having an additional refuge..easier to access and adds more water volume..

yeah it is 20" long but the back compartments look wider?

dstone, do you use the stock ATO or skimmer?

i just looked and the AP and solana are the same depth, 20"..so i guess there wouldn't be a difference in lighting needs...

what are your favorite things about it?

do you keep SPS and clams? can i use the legs on my sunpod for my solana if i use it? are you using the skimmer and ATO?

well if i used the solana i would use a sunpod..but i would have to get a 250W instead of my 150W cuz its deeper but i cant afford to buy one..

Hey, i ordered a stand(the one for solana) for my AP24 because i heard its not bad for a aquarium company's stand. but they sent me the actual solana instead and after calling them, they are sending me the stand but are letting me keep the tank as a gift how sweet is that!!!! but i already have my AP24 and already had a plan for it...should i keep the solana and use it or just go with my AP24? i know the solana is 10 gallons more but it doesn't seem as popular and part accessible as the AP24..and would a HOB fuge that i got for my AP24, fit on the solana too? and is the built in skimmer good at all and the ATO? but im leaning towards just going with my AP24..
